WR - Peter Warrick
Don't laugh!
I was driving home and I thought, "isn't Peter Warrick a free agent?"....so I checked...and he is not (next year I think).
Anyway, as I was checking the NFL Network said the Bengals plan on dealing Warrick once they re-sign Housmenzedah.
Warrick is good. He played for a crappy team for his first few years, then when Marvin came in in 2003 he did GREAT.
Here are his stats from 2003: 79 catches, 819 yds, 7 TD's (48 of those catches were 1st downs...talk about moving the chains). Just what Gibbs needs.
He did this opposite of Chad Johnson with John Kitna throwing him the ball. He also returns punts.
Sounds like??????? - Santana Moss
But would not cost as much as Moss.
He hurt his leg in the beginningof last season...and thats when TJ stepped in. He was posed to have a big year last year. If he is healthy, and does not cost too much, I say grab him.
Ohio homers? what do you think?

I totally see where you are coming from, I thought the same. Until last season. He stepped up and had big games.
I think it was Cinci Pre-Marvin Lewis
Just a thought, he could come cheap and he does have talent. Former 1st round pick on a bad team, that all.
With the FA WRs falling off the board it may be a viable option. Also, the Redskins do not have good luck with WRs in the draft.
Something to consider...

Well, Houshmandzadeh resigned.
The Bengals struck in the first hours of free agency Wednesday when they agreed to a four-year deal that keeps popular wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh in Cincinnati with Pro Bowl running mate and college teammate Chad Johnson through 2008..
He's going to make roughly 3 million a year.

It's funny... because when he came out... I wanted the skins to take him instead of Samuels... and although he's done not so well in the NFL... I use to love watching him at FSU...
I wouldn't hate it if the skins took a look at him... he'd have to come at a low price though..
really doesn't matter because the skins are gonna sign Travis Taylor..

I kind of like him myself...

With Mason, Muhammed, Hoosh, & R.Moss off the board.. I'd think it would push 50/50 value up more... there's not much left in WR in FA.. an it's the first day of FA... teams can get him probably at a decent bargin... compared to Plaxico anyways...

Yes... he was the guy... i think he got off easier than Coles though... I wouldn't call him a bust just yet... he was on some pretty bad Bengals teams... same with Taylor... I'd give either of those guys a shot for a small $ contract...

my personal opinion...is Patten was a product of the system... they spread alot of balls around up there in NE... and there has never been one main #1 guy...

Maybe you guys dont remember Peter Warrick.
Wasnt he the one who was arrested at Florida State for shoplifting .... or as it was called under-ringing?
And who was his accomplice who was with him .......Laverneus Coles !!!!!
Wouldn't it be great to have them back on the same team together !!!!!!!
Mongomery Mall will have to double its loss prevention staff.

Man, you beat me too it...I was already thinking up one liners...Strictly hypothetical...but if we got Warrick...do you think Coles and Warrick would do Dillards commercials instead of Eastern Motors? I mean, instead of the slogan being "Where yo job is yo credit"...it could be "Merchandise so good...it's where we steal all of our clothes"...it's got potential...

He's the guy I've wanted all along. He's still free as far as I know. He's on the shorter side, 5-10, but most things I've read on him, say he has the ability to be a #1. He's got great hands and he's fast.
I really hope we pick him up and start him along with Coles.

Are you really me? Late we have been thinking a lot the same way. Bring Patten in here and let's go. Then all we need to do is draft for the future and be in the SB in about 2 years.

You'll always be remembered Sean. R.I.P.
