here's to a respectable finish...

OBC's newfound ball control plus pocket friendly Timmy = long day for the cowpies. Winey, Thomas, and Jansen hold the line, and the Timmy/Coles express runs the rails.

Prediction:
Skins 37
Cowpies 17

And beating the pies makes a bleak season not feel so bad.

My gut says it'll be a close game...but our lack of running game (Canidate and Betts are hurt) is gonna kill us. Hopefully, Morton and Cartwright can pull the load for us this weekend...but I would rather see Canidate (if he's healthy enough to play), cuz I think he's finally "got it".

Regardless, I think a short passing game that Hasselbeck has been doing so well at will be enough to just get by the Cowpukes.

i have a new found respect for"dung" ever since he put zach thomas on his A$$ on sun nite a few weeks ago, but i still reserve the right to call him "dung" till he proves otherwise.... :lowblow: i too hope he's "got it"

I let "Trung" shed the "Dung" nickname as he has came on strong as of late. Who knows...a healthy Trung and a solidified line could be promising...??? But then again...

I like Trung's speed combined with another back like Betts with the power. The only problem is that the coaches like to get cute and run Trung up the middle on slow plays like inside draws and Betts around the end... totally opposite of their strengths.

The opponents see that on game film and wham... there goes the runner for a loss....

As Smoot Says "It's Our Super Bowl".

It will go a long way to making our offseason more enjoyable if we can beat the cowpukes and beat'em bad. It has been a long time since we have had a really convincing win - one that that by half-time you knew it was over. That's the kinda game I want this weekend. Don't get me wrong - a one point win will suffice, but a 28 point win would be really sweet!!!

Skins - 42
Puke - 14

Thanks Speek...

Like you say it would be really nice to Image the Cowpukes.

This year I feel our team has been Image but this is our Superbowl as everyone else has said.

I think it is time for all of us to go Image and root for our team as loud as possible.

I think it wouldn't be too shocking to see the Skins manhandle the Pukes, but I think I would be really shocked Image to see a score like 42 to 14.

I would love to see it though - don't get me wrong.

I think it will be a mite tighter though -
Skins 24 Pukes 17

One big highlight I will give you a preview of - Hasselbeck to McCants, burning a blitz by Williams:

Go Skins - this is the big one! (At least for US the fans... this year!)

After the little bit of OT I put in this week... Karma's good... no way we lose...

Redskins 24,
Pukes 20

Close, ugly game with lots of penalties and turnovers.
Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

How bout
Dallass 14
Redskins 0 at the half, Hasselback is no showing why he has been cut by ever team he has ever been on. I hate life right now, the biggest game of his life and he gives two critical passes right to newsome, good job, wonder how much Parcells paid him to throw those balls.

actually, it was Newman.

You are actually blaming the entire thing on a QB who has played for three weeks with this scheme, instead of coaches who, IMO didn't spend one shred of time watching any game film of the losses that the Cowboys have had inflicted on them this year?

The running game was working, the blitzing was working, and then they adjusted away from the stuff that was working.

Ask you a serious question - ever tried to throw a wet ball with cold wet hands? An NFL sized ball?

There is a core problem and that is the staff of the Skins is a bunch of NFL noobs and they showed their asses today running helter skelter all over the damn place.

That was worse than a sharp stick in the eye. I'm hatin' football right now....and that's just not natural.

Agree...

Post by skinz74 »

I agree with you, skinsfaninroanoke. For those of you whom wish to bash Hasslebeck for his performance today, examine the situation in its entirety. The field conditions were deplorable, he only has a couple games under his belt with NO training camp or preseason. If anything, I think we should applaud the effort that he has been able to compete. Where I will aim my frustrations is the coaching staff. We were successful in running the ball, yet SOS cannot resist throwing the ball LONG downfield. I guess 2 games in a row is too much to ask for ya, Stevie "Wonder how I'm gonna string together a WINNING SEASON." I also agree with your comments that both Rock and Bauman should be given more PT. To lose a game like this angers everyone who cares. But let's try not to beat up those who are really trying to make things work. I know this is against my sarcastic nature, but I think our team needs our support more than a slam. Anyone who watched this game should understand our DIRE need for a couple of DT's that can stop the run. It was embarrassing to watch. 2 percocets and 6 mich ultras couldn't stop the pain of watching this game. But the only one I'm blaming for this one is Spurrier. Other than that, I'll just have to "Look forward to next year" like we have for years. -drinking -drinking -drinking -drinking -drinking

SS is to blame for the QB situtation....the joke of the NFL, if you ask me. Rob Johnson? What were they thinking? Wuerfel? I'm not sure I can stand another season of these boobs.

When you're wrong you're wrong - and boy was I wrong. Foolish me for thinking this team would rise to the occation and beat the hated Cowboys.

No more predictions for me this year - as if they really mattered.
