Matt Jones

Post by eread »

What does everyone think about Matt Jones the ex QB? He is as big as M WIlliams but, ran a 4.4 40yrd and runs great routs. Also, he would be around later in the 1st round and we could get extra picks as well has having an X qb that can read the Dfense.

What do you all think???
Coach Gibbs will return us to glory once again

That big ol' white boy can FLY! He's going to be a player in the NFL. Slash-type guy with tons of ability. He's a decent QB too!

Definitely not a first round pick... Maybe a third round pick at very best. Most likely a developemental project in early day 2

i am from arkansas and i dont think he will go in the first round. although i would love to see him go first round. i heard that he ran the fastest 40 yrd dash by any quaterback. he really was the most fun player ive every seen at the university of arkansas.

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!! I FOUND A FRIEND!!!!! HOLY GOD! I AM NOT THE ONLY REDSKIN FAN IN ARAKANSAS!!! I AM SO HAPPY!!!!!

Well, Matt Jones does NOT need to be a WR. I swear to God, I am still in therapy and having heart trouble remembering those on the run, across his body, off the back foot throws to someone on the other side of the field double covered.

Let him play TE, let him play WR, let him play handoff machine, let him play option QB... Don't make me watch him throw. Again.

Also, gored, that is the University of Arkansas Razorback, fellow. :thump: Show respect to the BEST university of Division One football.

Did Vick run at the combine. I bet Vick could beat some cracker.

But if he was there in the 4th round or late 3rd, and we didnt get a WR in the 1st I would take a chance on him because he has lots of upside.

back to the jones thread... if he's around in round 4 i'd love to see us pick him up as a tight end. I really think all our picks should be offense this year, we have good depth at lb and with all our guys coming back in the secondary we have depth there too now. With guys like williams and jones we'd make it very tough for opposing defenses to match up with us.

ive been following the talk around matt jones on a few websites. and today i got to thinking, if the nfl doesnt see him as a qb then why did he go through the combine with the qb's. why didnt he tryout with the wr's or te's, hell hes talented enough to play all three!

He worked out at both WR and QB at the combine. I've lived in Arkansas for 20 years and Matt has been the most exciting player to watch ever. Yes he made some decision mistakes throwing the ball, as do all players with "all-the-confidence-in-the-world" attitudes. He is a playmaker. Five years from now GMs and coaches who passed on Jones will be kicking themselves (maybe a lot sooner). Growing up in WV and being a Redskins fan for most of my life, I hope we get him.
