Wil Mike Williams be available at the 9th pick

Post by truskinsfan18 »

I am just wondering what you guys thnik about Mike Williams being available when the redskins draft...im not sure thanks for your opinions, and also is he going to be an impact player although his lack of breakaway speed and can you think of a successfull reciver in the nfl who had a slow 40 time

I definitely think that he should be available for us, especially given his 40 times. Due to his size, he's not likely to run sub 4.5 like he thought he was going to yesterday. A bunch of scouts think that he could fall to mid 1st round, but I still think that he will be a hot commodity because of his frame and ability to attack the ball in the air. He kind of reminds me of TO. The only teams ahead of us that I can see getting a WR are Tampa Bay and maybe Tennessee. Everything depends on how aggressive Tampa Bay is in free agency with WRs. I worry that Tennessee may go after Williams to reunite him with Norm Chow, but I like our odds.

I think Tampa will go for A runningback, such as ronnie brown or cadillac williams

Yea thats what I was thinking. They have way too many holes, and with the depth at WR this year and the amount of picks they have, they should be able to pick some up. They also have free agency and a young Michael Clayton at WR.

I hope we get this guy. He'd be a great fix for our offense. Hopefully the Titans will pick their WR in Free Agency.

Maybe we should all start praying for MWillimas!

I´m worried of the raiders-vikings trade, if this deal goes through the vikings will have the #7 pick overall and they may pick M.Williams, hope they pick someone in free agency, if not I think they will pick M.Williams at #7.

I think that the Vikings may be a problem for us, but I was thinking that the Vikings said to be a run offense next year and there defense is the biggest problem. With Daute they dont need that big impact WR. They have a lot of holes to fill on the defensive side. Let pray and hope because Mike is what we need to go along with coles if we keep him.

Depends who you ask... we don't have Braylon Edwards ahead of Mike Williams in our own draft rankings.

It's all subjective.
Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

I completely forgot about the raiders-vikings trade. I did read though and saw on ESPN that the vikings were trying to become a run offense. Some people in the NFL believe that Culpepper can live up to his true potential even without Moss. I was also really impressed with the play of Burleson and Campbell last season when Moss had injured his hamstring. They're defense is the biggest issue, although full of 1st round picks, but I still think they are going to try to improve it.

I would look for the Vikes to spend the money and get Mason. Mason is a proven veteran WR - heck I'd like to see him in B&G... fun to speculate anyway. The Vikings need help on defense BADLY - I don't see them going with any offensive players in their first two rounds - that's just me.
