Bad Feeling - LA's Contract situation

Post by USS Redskin »

I hate to say it but the way things are going lately, I wouldn't be suprised if something bad happens with Arrington's contract gripe.
I just dont have a good feeling about the outcome.
Here's hoping it works out b/c the Skins are def. better with him and since it looks like Pierce is leaving, we may really need him.
Just beat Dallas - they are A-H****

I'm sure there's a topic on this out there but Arrington pretty much said he's ready to drop the grievance. From everything I've read, he or his agents don't have any ground to stand on since A) They reviewed the contract, and B) They signed it...
The opinion of 10,000 men is of no value if none of them know anything about the subject.

I think he changed his mind last month and has decided to follow through with the grievance.

I personally would like to see the contract voided. I love Lavar, but his contract is too damn big. If his contract was voided, we would be soo much better off. That would give us the opportunity to try to renegotiate a new deal with him(likely wouldn't work because he'd want his original contract or bigger), or franchise him and get a couple #1 picks out of him. With Greg Williams, we'd be just fine without him and would have a ton of cap room to sign Pierce and a very good DE, which would help a lot more than LA...
