Mason is a Must

Post by hatsOFF2gibbs »

We HAVE to get this guy. With Moss, Muhammad, Porter, and most likely Mike Williams out of our grasp we have to get this guy or we are totally screwed. Edwards? I don't think we'll have a chance at him either. Looks like the Vikings will indeed get a reciever with their new 7th overall pick.

Mason or bust! If not Mason, we'll have our top three recievers to be Thrash, Jacobs, and McCants. I don't know if any of these are #1 WRS!!!!

I'm sorry but last i checked gardner was given option to talk to other teams but given the current circumstance he might not be gone unless it benefits us, could be back in camp competing for # 2 spot with Mccants and Jacobs and Thrash. Coles is not going anywhere either unless we receive reasonable compensation. So don't get to excited just yet. Everyone vents this time of year let's see what developes after march 2.

How many times have we NEEDED a guy; got him and still ended up with a losing record?

I'm not buying into it anymore. I'm not even buying into the idea that we need to keep our current FA's.

Their are several teams out there that are much more talented than the Patriots, and Colts, and Eagles...but they didn't end up going as far as those teams did.

I'm not buying it.

No he is 31, lets keep our picks and draft needs, no reciever, than draft a De if none of them are worth the ninth pick than draft the Te from UVA. Its not a pressing need but its a need. If to expensive than trade down and draft one of the needs. And make sure we get the center from Michigan.

It is early in the offseason but these problems are very intimidating! 8-[

If Ramsey does not play better, it really doesen't matter who is at WR. It all starts with Ramsey.

It's these kinds of dilemmas that seperate the men from the boys. With Gibbs running the show I bet he will not panic just because we don't have a fantasy football star receiver. We need to keep our draft picks (all of them) develop our own talent and let other teams spend the big bucks on free agents. Just ask Minnesota how far their star receiver got them and why they were so willing to trade him away.
Build through the draft!

I would love for us to sign Mason but I won't cry if we don't get him.

No matter how good or bad this offseason is, we will still have to live with it and live through it. That's what makes life interesting.

Since Ramsey will be practicing with the first team more in the off season he should get better.
