Leinart announced surgery?

Post by Scooter »

Did you guys hear that Matt Leinart was to undergo surgery on his left arm (elbow) tomorrow? Wow, that's a shocker to me. Suddenly it all makes sense. He wasn't going to be able to work out for the scouts until August... after the Draft. Timing is everything. He'll be ready for the season if all goes well. But I think an operation on his throwing arm would make a HUGE difference in his draft status.
I don't wish any bad luck on the kid, just wish we hadn't been left in the dark on the pending surgery...damn Pete Carroll never returned my call! :0)

I didn't hear anything about that until just now. Dang! Lienart isn't dumb after all. I guess I'm sorry for jumping to conclusions about him. Hopefully, this surgery will go well for him and he can lead the Trojans to a third consecutive national championship.

no freakin' way! I believe he'd have been the top pick if he came out this year. Unless he gets injured or has just a pathetic season or the surgery doesn't go well, expect him to be in the top 5 next year.
God bless our troops and Joe Gibbs.
We'll miss you, Joe.

CHD had a good point, the 49'ers might get him anyway - in the 06 Draft. I don't expect anything out of Nolan in Frisco. Then, Carroll could move to the NFL with Leinart - ooh, it's like a Twilight Zone!

It finally makes sense to me that he stayed at USC now!
