Who's #1

Post by Warmother »

With Leinart going back to school, :roll: , I don't think there is a clear #1 pick any more. SF needs a QB along with a lot of other things. I can see them trading down a few spots. Who do you think the #1 pick is going to be? :feedback;

#1 player - Mike Williams
#1 QB - Alex Smith

I think this means the 49'ers will go after a QB in Free Agency - Drew Brees/ Kelly Holcomb - and take the play maker in Williams. They have some good young talent, but I think they'll spend a ton in FA -

Just my take...

Yeah I think you might be right about Brees. I can see SF trying to sign him in a big way, and then drafting him a WR.

Mike Williams is damn good but hes defnitely not going to be the 1st pick. Especially after hes missed his entire junior year. My prediction is going to be Aaron Rodgers from Cal.

They'll get Mike Williams. Draft the WR, next year they'll probably get #1 again, so then you get lienhart. 21st century version of young/rice

We don't have to worry about a T.O Jr. My sister told me he doesn't play ball. His name is Victor I believe.

Double CHD, that was FUNNY! Wouldn't it be a trip if Leinart goes to SF anyway? Hadn't even crossed my mind... not that I'm all that smart anyways, thanks for the laugh!

Yea scooter, I doubt san fran will be any better next year so they probably will get leinhart again. Maybe pick up reggie bush in the second round (roger craig) and then bring back pete caroll. I know he's a great college coach and all but I'm not gonna compare caroll to siefer or walsh.

I think the 49ers will trade out of the #1 spot as they need D and signed Nolan (Baltimore Def Coor as head coach). Someone who needs a QB will move up. Possible Cleveland, possibly Dallas, Maybe even AZ. Aaron Rodgers is the likely #1 with Leinart out. M Williams will be top 7. Oakland will get him if he's still there, but he probably won't be.

Mel Kiper Jr. has the 49ers taking Alex Smith. I could see that, he's smart and athletic, all around good choice.
Still Loyal. Go Skins!

the Niners arent gonna spend a lot in FA. Their owner is a total cheapskate. That's their biggest problem right now.
