PS2 Games
All:
I just broke down and got a new PS2 (after mainly using my computer for gaming for the past few years). Can anyone recommend a few must have games?
Thanks

Yeah, Final Fantasy X is the best one I've played for PS2, if you like RPG's at all this is a must, there's even a really cool sports feature where you draft and recruit a team of "blitzball" players, it's sweet.
If you like baseball I think MVP by EA is the best franchise out there. Also I really like the game "The Getaway" a very cinematic game about the London underworld, very, very cool.

Sports games: Madden
Really cool games: All the Grand Theft Autos
Fantasy, Action and Adventure games: Devil may Cry, Rygar, Onimusha 3, and Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb.
Horror games: Silent Hill 2,3, and 4. The first Silent Hill was on the PS1. The Suffering was also a really cool horror game.
Role Playing: Final Fantasy X. One of my best friends actually worked on the sound effects on that game.
Besides the new Grand Theft, most of the games I listed have been out a while and are down in price. You should be able to find them for about $20 a piece now.

GTA: San Andreas is like chicken soup for the human id
Final Fantasy X is one of my favorite in the series, next to FF3 for Super Nintendo. Pass on FFX-2 like the plague. Oh, and I recommend sending Kimahri down Wakka's grid, and use the internet to make sure you get ALL the stuff out of the Cloister Trials so you don't have to go back later... you'll understand when you play.
I played Madden and ESPN and recommend ESPN 2k5... lots of Gibbs plays and the 'Skins playbook is definitely geared to the short-yardage attack. That and it's only $20.
If you aren't squeamish... give Manhunt a rental.

Need fo Speed: UnderGround 2, if you like racing & cars, then you'll love this game! They have real "everyday" cars and you can rebuild all of them. The engine, paint, lights, rims, etc. can all be changed! I've been playing it everyday since Christmas.
I recommend going to rent games before buying them, even though some games are great, some of them are really hard to control!

You are not lying. This game is incredible.
These two games were rated very high on the must have lists.
