Testaverde not sure he wants to return in '05
IRVING, Texas (AP) - Vinny Testaverde appreciates owner Jerry
Jones saying the Dallas Cowboys consider him their starting
quarterback for next season -- but Testaverde is not sure he'll be
back.
He's not sure he wants to retire, either, but at age 41 figures
it's at least something to think about. He has played every game
this season, starting all but one, and will start Sunday against
the Washington Redskins.
Testaverde just became the oldest person to throw for 3,000
yards in a season and is on pace to finish with the third-most
yards in team history. However, he's also tied for the most
interceptions in the league (19) and his passer rating is near the
bottom.
