LSU's Saban Decision Should Come In A Week

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

LSU's Saban Decision Should Come In A Week
The Miami Herald is reporting that LSU will know if it will or will not have football coach Nick Saban in about a week, the chairman of the LSU Board of Supervisors athletic committee said Thursday. "I would be surprised if it took more than a week or so," said Charles Weems III of Alexandria after a board meeting Thursday night that named former NASA chief Sean O'Keefe's LSU's new chancellor. "Coach Saban usually does things very quickly and efficiently," Weems said. Saban is in the process of deciding if he wants to accept an offer to be the coach of the Miami Dolphins in the NFL after being interviewed by Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga and Dolphins President Eddie Jones Tuesday night in Baton Rouge. Saban, though, is under no pressure from either LSU or Miami to make a quick decision. On Thursday, Jones said the Dolphins are committed to interviewing a minority candidate or face as much as a $500,000 fine from the NFL. Such candidates who are currently NFL head coaches are assistants cannot be interviewed until after Jan. 2 when the regular season is concluded.

The word is Saban will have total control of the team. I don't know if this is a good idea considering he has never been a head coach in the NFL and there are coaches who have won the Superbowl that couldn't pull this off
