Very simple. We did not Hognosticated only one game differently. I thought we had but we did not. I do not go through all the original posts with as much care as I do when I count them -twice- when the scores are posted.

You had Arizona -and- Minnesota to win.

I had Houston and Pittsburgh to win.

I noticed only the difference in the Arizona-Houston game when I saw your picks. I did not see the difference in the Pitt-Minny game. The time and dates of all posts are there for all to see.

Hopefully this settles the issue.

Good evening to you RiC, and good evening everybody. I am a little late joining you this evening, having had half a pound of grapeshot removed from my buttocks, which had been expertly fired into that location by one of Her Majesty's naval gunners, from a distance of just over 700 yards. For a while last night, it looked like I might actually miss out on a perfect week, by having picked the Cowboys. That would have been a little ironic, to say the least. Thanks to the Browns for saving those blushes.

I honestly believed that the Redskins would flunk this one. I expected a flat performance, and got exactly the opposite. For that, I deserve all you can throw at me. For what it's worth, I shall forego the bragging rights that should come with being at the top of the board this week. Bragging doesn't come naturally to an understated limey like me anyway - I much prefer to sit here quietly and wallow in smugness.

I feel no shame for picking the Cowboys, but I was clearly very badly wrong. And I don't mind saying, it feels absolutely bloody wonderful. Last night was the most fun I have had as a Redskin fan since we left RFK. And if the result makes me look like a bit of a pillock, then I celebrate the fact!

The Sussex Carol is a good one, isn't it? You can rely on Vaughan Williams for a good harmony.

Until next week :wink:
What shall I do about those Giants...

Thanks for taking it on the chin like a man.

Now imagine, How would it look in the future if you win the weekly competition if you play -with- the Skins? :idea:

I am not going to suggest any poster to pick one way or another. This is what makes it fun. You know the NFL as well as anybody in the US obviously. It is a tribute to the international success of the NFL. Interestingly, some of the winners in several weeks have come up from Australia, Mexico, UK and Canada (with one or two US fans just to spice things up every once in a blue moon :lol: ).

But I will do one thing. I will let a bit of my psychic and tele-kinetic Hognostication powers known to you and all:

If Washington wins this week -and- Minny, Pukes and Falcons lose this week, we go to the playoffs.

http://www.the-hogs.net/forum/viewtopic. ... 0a9fd218c6

So, I have NO DOUBT that four of my picks this week will be:

Washington;
Carolina;
Tampa; and
Baltimore
Get it? To me, it is not about winning alone. It is about picking with our heart and REALLY winning. HTTR

It is about being a REAL Redskin fan through thick and thin. I have never picked any team against the Redskins throughout the season. I never will. :up:

No perfect record this week either. Come on guys! Only two weeks left. The most coveted bragging rights prize is still up for grabs!

And the winner is (drum roll): UK Skins Fan

Congratulations for a great score of 14 - 02. He knows the NFL. Now, if he only knew his Redskins :roll: . But I think he learned his lesson this week.

In true form of consistent-inconsistency 1nik kept himself in the top echelon of posters with Texas Hog, Fios, hkhog and SkinsJock, all good performers throughout the season.

The median score for the week is 11 - 05. The vast majority of posters are a single game away +1 or -1 of this score.

Justice acquired the 1nik syndrome and went from top to bottom. It can happen to all of us. JansenFan must fire Matt Millen as his executive officer in charge of research. Man you were supposed to join me in the hazing.

Punu and Redeemed continue their "magnificent" very even struggle and managed to be reached by the girl with the eight ball, whom is not last AGAIN. :up:

Redeemed should learn his lesson to stay away from PK's picks. They are not good to your health. Punu, PLEASE look at Texas Hog picks and his exclusive article -before- you post your own man. It pains me to see you struggling with what could have been a Redskin-type victory against you know who.

DartMonk could not match last week's winning score as predicted by yours truly.

It always amazes me the significance of ONLY one game going one way or another in our weekly Hognostication standings. Compare these standings without the MNF result to see the difference this week earlier in this thread.

Once again, this week shows that to WIN this weekly competition a poster should have ONLY two wrong picks at most: meaning 87.5 % of better success! A tall order if you ask me. :shock:

Please check your own individual numbers!
