yea. we were too busy cheering the team to the bitter end(which wasn't so bitter after all), we didn't leave in the third quarter, like some 'fans'.

I agree. Everyone has to remember a few things. No team changes overnight. Team chemistry takes time to build. Joe Gibbs was waiting for a leader (QB) to step up and not give up. Not giving up when faced with an impossible task builds Character and Confidence. Confidence inspires Success. Success(Winning) builds confidence. Sounds like a cycle has starting. No matter what happens you cheer for the skins till the end, even when they are faced with seemingly insurmountable odds. A true crime is being a Dallas Fan. Like Joe says Redskins fans are the best in the world, there can't be any Dallas fans in here because they are the ugliest fans in world. When we are down 13-0, late in the 4th quarter 3rd down 27 yards to go, brunell just got sacked to lose 15 yards, you don't give up, you keep fighting. Thanks. Go Skins, Go. Haters stop hating. That's all I have to say.

The "edit" to the thread title was a good start. It should read "Never Fire Joe Gibbs" though. . .but if it takes another season or two for that edit to take place, then so be it.

EDIT***here is my post i wrote about 50 minutes into the game, when it looked like for sure we would be in for 2004 Part II. in retrospect, obviously we pulled it out and see that i went a little overboard, but i REALLY HATE THE COWBOYS!!!!! so i went crazy.

i think we still have a LOT to work on before i'm convinced we will be any good this year on offense. but clearly we're not down and out yet.

that being said, here is the unedited entirety of my original post.
*****************************************

joe gibbs has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is hopelessly lost in the modern NFL, and incapable of putting his team in a position to win football games. the decision to go with brunell is so far beyond inexcusable my head is going to explode. the worst thing is, despite how terrible brunell has been, you can be assured gibbs will not bench him.

we are going to have another year where a top 3 defense is squandered by an unspeakably incompetent offense. there has to be some accountability. joe gibbs needs to be fired, at least at the end of the year if not during the year. that way we can make GW head coach to make sure we don't lose him.

everyone who has been arguing with me and others who have supported ramsey, well i don't need to tell you where to shove it. brunell sucks. get over it. ramsey might suck too but he at least gives us a chance to score.

the knocks on ramsey were:
1. he over/underthrows his WRs on deep routes
--well, brunell has thrown exactly 1 decent long pass all game, and about 4 decent short ones. he underthrew moss in the endzone on a sure TD. etc.

2. he throws too many bad INTs
---brunell threw an inexcusably terrible INT

3. he takes too many sacks
--brunell took a stupid sack that put us out of field goal range, and about 77 others.

the argument is over. it is now time to band together and figure out how to get brunell benched and gibbs fired.

I've read literally thousands of posts on this board, and many other football boards. But, I can honestly say, with respect DCD, that this is/was singlehandedly the most utterly ridiculous post you, or anyone else, has ever posted on a message board. In the heat of the moment or not, it is a pathetic post. It's one thing to shout out an angry comment in the heat of a passionate game, but to back up your anger with statistical analysis shows just how calculated and pre-meditated it was. I realize I came into this thread late, but I had to put my two cents in. Your post is complete nonsense, and utterly insane.

I don't buy this "DCD really is a nice guy" stuff either. The content of your post is indicative of your true feelings towards this team. You should be stripped naked, and flogged in the middle of Times Square at midnight in front of thousands and thousands of tourists while admitting just how ridiculous your post was.

why should i care if you say my post was ridiculous? everything you have ever said is ridiculous.

it's not a sin to disagree with the coach. it also doesn't mean you don't love the team. joe gibbs is not the redskins. i love the redskins. i can criticize the coach all i want without meaning i don't love the team. i get pissed off BECAUSE i love the team. i'm getting a little tired of having to explain something that should be common sense to anyone with an 8th-grader's grasp of basic reasoning skills.

This, of course, coming from the only fan on this sit, (if he is in fact a fan), that titles a thread "fire Joe Gibbs. And you have the audacity to call MY posts ridiculous? Un-believable!!!

Calm down. Take a breath. Try to make a coherent post

O.K. I'll make a deal with you. I'll calm down, take a breat, and make a coherent post if you do something for me.

My coherent post is this: Joe Gibbs does not need to be fired, nor should anyone suggest he should be.

There, that's my coherent post. Now, your turn to do something for me...

You ready? O.K. Your task is to make a post of your own choosing where you don't have to aimlessly defend your boyfriend, Die Cowboys Die, from all of his ridiculous posts. Let him take the flak himself, instead of you chiming in with your "he was just venting" or his "he really is a nice guy" laughables. Let him make his ridiculous posts, and face the wrath of the people like a man. I'm sure he can handle it himself without you being there to hold his hand.

Now, going back to Gibbs needing to be fired. HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAH!!! Sorry, I can't post on this thread anymore. It's just too funny. DCD, chalk it down to experience and take it like a man, and ask your father figure, cvillehog, to let you handle things yourself. You're quite capable of making ridiculous posts on your own without his adding some kind of vein attempt at logic in them.

Ok, time for you to get a new perscription.

I never said gibbs shoudl be fired. I never said DCD was "just venting" or is "really a nice guy."

Regardless of anything anybody posted before or after the two touchdowns, I don't think it's right for you and others to go around telling people they are or aren't real fans. Be a man, and take the high road. Let DCD's post speak for itself.

One doesn't need the formality of a certification to know that a fan who says "fire Joe Gibbs" is, a different type of fan than the ones who actually SUPPORT their team.

Be a man and practice what you preach!! Let him take his own flak. If you think for one minute that someone is going to post something as ridiculous as "Gibbs should be fired" and not expect any type of hostile response from Redskins fan, then you're just wrong.

Although, I agree with you in that DCD's posts speak for themself, unfortunately. Saying Joe Gibbs should be fired, and using your mantra of letting them speak for himself, sure says a lot about the poster.
