Oh my! This is the most difficult week so far.
Like others, I am also having problems identifying my upset picks this week.
Biggest Hognostication upset: San Diego puts an end to the aspirations of the BEST undefeated team in the NFL today. RiC said so before ANYBODY else in this thread.
My picks are:
New England (risky)
Kansas City (beaten-up G-strings will start their December fall here)
Denver
Houston (talk about anoter risky pick, Houston runs, Cards can not stop them)
Carolina
Miami (I might regret this according to history)
St. Louis (tough pick but I will give an advantage to artificial turf ... )
Pittsburgh (risky as well but they wish to go to the playoffs...)
San Diego (talk about risk... but remember the game by San Diego v. NE earlier)
Seattle
Jacksonville
Cincinnati
Oakland (yet another doomed pick after a loss to the Jets)
Washington (I ALWAYS pick the Skins)
Chicago (Vick may play for as long as a quarter after the Bears D gets done with him)
Baltimore (Baltimore is NOT Detroit, Is it?)

Redeemed, I think that you got yourself a legal adviser or a defense attorney.

I'll call him "The Disciple". You can do it, FFA!! If you believe, you can acheive!!!

RiC - The same San Diego team that lost to Miami? And, at home? oh well - you can always have a change of heart!!

It sounds crazy eh? But remember, it was a down game. We also had a down game against the G-strings earlier this year.
OK, it is a LLLOOONNNGGG shot. How long? Indy -7.5 Meaning Indy would win covering the spread with a score over a TD for sure. So, What gives?
1) Their playoff hopes. Look them up. This is almost a playoff game in the AFC.
2) L. Tomlinson is capable to carry the team. This is the most important game of his life to date. This is a game that goes into the history books.
3) San Diego with Brees has the players, character and ability to win this weekend.
4) Why not? Redskin in Canada has a comfortable lead and one lost pick does not make a difference. But if I get it right I might be considered a THN genius for the 1st time in my life.
5) I want to unsettle and disconcert
Redeemed with my picks. In fact, he is already confused and completely uncertain about what to do.
6) I have a real hunch.
7) I think that Indy and their coaches will be more comfortable going into the playoffs with the BIG load of a perfect record OFF THEIR SHOULDERS.
8 ) Nick Saban had a perfect game plan against San Diego. Chargers looked passed the Fish. Big mistake.
Enough?

They look pretty sensible to me. Fewer upsets. It can actually happen, including weather affecting the Denver-Buffalo game.

Hey we all should do something for the site. I just found my niche.
This has become a VERY tough crowd. I am amazed at the good results from several posters. Remember, we are still looking for a poster with a PERFECT set of Hognostications. We have come as close as 1 or 2 wrong picks. But nobody has received a PERFECT score yet.

Okay! The search for "el perfecto" goes on
NFL - Week #15:
Tampa Bay at New England = Tampa Bay - they need it and the NFC defense rolls on!
Kansas City at N.Y. Giants = Kansas City - I cannot stand this coach and his antics - enough!!
Denver at Buffalo - Denver - Hate the Broncos too, but the AFC West is a dogfight.
Arizona at Houston - Houston - This team is starting to play!
Carolina at New Orleans - Carolina
N.Y. Jets at Miami - Miami - they are not losing to these guys.
Philadelphia at St. Louis - Philthy
Pittsburgh at Minnesota - Pittsburgh - what was I thinking?
San Diego at Indianapolis - Indianapolis - This D is just too good.

San Francisco at Jacksonville - Jacksonville
Cincinnati at Detroit - Cincinnati
Cleveland at Oakland - Cleveland - Norv is still a joke, now he's proving it!
Dallas at Washington - Washington

Not lately.

It appears as if someone made the Hognostications during the first part of the season and somebody else made them the second half. How many of you inside you are there?
So, Is this the long coveted set of PERFECT Hognostications?

Being Australian and having marsupial tendencies will sometimes "appear" like that to some!

There is no excuse! Sometimes the picks were made based on tendencies/stats and sometimes extensive travel made looking for "el perfecto" a little more of a challenge. I did well with no research and did terribly with too much!

I don't think I'm a match for the better hognosticators here, but I think I have as good a chance as most!
It has been a blast and I'm actually sorry I did not get in on it until the 4th week.
So, Is this the long coveted set of PERFECT Hognostications?
Could be! I'll even divulge the formula for "el perfecto" - this week the selections were made as: all the visiting teams on Saturday, all the home teams on Sunday and alternate again on Monday. That may be the hidden formula?
Then again - I may get a "message" and have to revise this "plan" before Saturday!

Wanna bet it's not?
A STICKY is out of the question. The sole proud
subject of a STICKY should be left alone in that category. But we could think of something else. Are you silly enough to bet on a perfect score?
Could it be?

There is no way you are going to "trap" this one, but you are tempting!
There are just so many teams that are not playing to their potential right now - even with the importance of some of these games. This week's games are particularly difficult.
best to you and the other hognosticators - hopefully someone pulls it off - 3 weeks to go!

History ALSO shows that such may NOT be necessarily the case.
There are so many -different- lessons to learn from history. Just ask Welch.

Isn't that what you call the quarter you flip for each game?

Ok, here we go again. This week, I choose:
New England
NY Giants (I hate it, but KC won't do us any favours here)
Denver
Houston (If in doubt, pick the home team)
Carolina
Miami
Philadelphia
Pittsburgh
San Diego (Yeah, I'm crazy)
Seattle
Jacksonville
Cincinnati
Oakland
Dallas (I just don't have good vibes about this game)
Chicago
Baltimore
Hate to pick against the Redskins, and this is one pick that I'll be rooting to get wrong.

Do not fix it if it ain't broken!
It is time to come up clean and reveal our secrets:
I use secret psychic and tele-kinetic powers instead. They work best on cloudy days. Plus the house cat has been of great assistance passing information from another dimension at times too.
And this is NOTHING compared with a gal and her real magic ball ...

Hate to pick against the Redskins, and this is one pick that I'll be rooting to get wrong.
And here I was making you a noble Prince in the previous week!
Do you call yourself a Redskin Fan? What kind of a Fan would go against its own flesh and blood with the most hated enemy? A cannibal? A monster? A beast?
Do me a kind favour after all these weeks. Please go to the bedroom and watch yourself in the mirror. What do you see? Nothing different? Well, let me tell you what you see: You see the face of a TRAITOR in his heart.
What kind of action would Nelson have taken against you if he knew that you thought the French would win the Battle of Trafalgar in its 200th year anniversary?
Do me another favour. Take the train from Sussex to London and go to Trafalgar Square and tell them that you had doubts, that you hesitated, that you were not sure, that you "do not have good vibes"!!!
No self-respecting Skins fan is worthy of ever wearing burgundy and gold with his/her comrades in arms and do this to us. If you are our real brother, and I do not use this word loosely, you will reconsider this pick.
The memory of our fallen and living heroes shall not be tarnished with these insults. I would gladly take a loss in the weekly score rather than the indignity and ignominy to side with the enemy at any time.
(Besides you do not want me to shift my attention away from somebody else against you for the rest of the season, do you?
)
