Hognostications: Weeks 1-17 (and rankings)

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Five in a row or YOU don't go!

Bring it on Redeemed, just like the Skins. It will be A LOT more fun for all.

Thanks to all for your support. I never thought this would grow as much as it has. It has been good to have this thread at all times but particularly during six tough weeks so far. Thanks to Texas Hog who has kept his Hognostications going notwithstanding an important addition to his family and the Skin fan base.

The thread was designed to stimulate participation and direct readers to Texas Hog's Exclusive Article every week on the front page. Many posters come directly to the board and often might miss some of the best parts of this board.

Other than this thread, I wanted to support the much appreciated Tailgate Recipes thread and My Favourite Cheerleader threads. For some reason, posters seem to be more interested in Cheerleaders and Players than food. :hmm:

Yeah but 14 - 2 is not better than 13 - 1, at least percentage-wise. But you are right 14 - 2 is PRETTY good, all modesty aside of course.

Thanks. Enjoy the ride over the last stretch. The stakes are HIGHER now:

Not only that. You missed the most important PRIZE:

Bragging rights EVERY WEEK.

We will have final stats with all issues and reasons to bragg about our knowledge about the NFL and ... luck to predict some games.

Nothing wrong with bragging around for good percentages. Discussion boards are for discussion about why some people feel higher ground to bragg about.

Some interesting rivalries have developed. Slowly but surely the field is becoming stronger and more competitive every week.

Nobody has Hognosticated a perfect week but some people have been awful close with just one or two misses!

Enjoy.

ELEVEN (11) full sets of predictions, including the official Hognostications, up to now and ...

No picks of Redemption/Integrity/Courage yet?

I guess thought and research take a little time after all, eh?

Take your time Redeemed/Redimido/Racheté. Take your time. Nobody will accuse you of being a girly man if you do not post first.

May be Redeemed has reconsidered his situation and he will QUIT this week. For all the promises and brave talk, finally the cookie crumbled.

Sorry Redeemed.

Hognostications NFL Week 13

Post by SkinsJock »

Oh man - this used to be just a "contest"! Now we have a little pressure on the side and some intrigue thrown in!

Great job by RiC and nice offer BH! SkinsJock needs a new shirt!

Atlanta at Carolina = Falcons
Buffalo at Miami = Bills
Cincinnati at Pittsburgh = Bengals
Dallas at N.Y. Giants = Pukes
Green Bay at Chicago = Bears
Houston at Baltimore = Texans
Jacksonville at Cleveland = Browns
Minnesota at Detroit = Lions
Tampa Bay at New Orleans = Bucs
Tennessee at Indianapolis = Colts

Arizona at San Francisco = 49ers
Washington at St. Louis = Redskins
Denver at Kansas City = Broncos
N.Y. Jets at New England = Pats

Oakland at San Diego = Chargers

Seattle at Philadelphia = Philthy

Following the "rules" I may have to make some "adjustments" to try and find those games that may mean a "swing" in the results this week and see if we can pick up some ground!!!

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I am a player -and- a broadcaster. I have to make it interesting. But you are coming up strong over the last few weeks. I call that at least a threat to 1st and 2nd places if not to all.

There is an insignificant difference among 1st and 3rd after so MANY games!

Besides, I may just choke and loose my edge in the final stretch ...

We are still missing a few warm and cold bodies from among those that have participated here at least one week throughout the 2005 season:

blchizzleke, Chris Luva Luva, DEHog, diecowboysdie, FanfromAnnapolis, Gibbs' Hog, joebagadonuts, JSPB22, Redeemed, Redskingush, Scooter, Scottskins, spudstr04, Tazlah, TCWest, and The Hogster.

No magic ball predictions? :(
