I disagree. Negativity feeds on itself, and becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. This team can win the SB if you believe hard enough.

You've been watching too much Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood. This is on par with "You can be anything you want to be if you just try hard enough" and other lies your parents told you. At some time, talent and preparation play into the equation...not just you supplying positive energy.
Now, I'm not a Dooms Day-er....I think the team has potential. I am just floored by the fact I watched that entire game and I have nothing to hang my hat on and say "Yeah, they are dramatically improved at that". Nothing. I thought going into the game that:
- JC has matured and could read defenses
- The offense would look more fluid
- The defense would get pressure on the QB
- We would be competitive
None of these things occurred. THis game was a 6 point game on the scoresheet only and the Skins never seriously threatened them. Now, I watched several other games and there were many teams that showed me dramatic improvement. For instance:
- The Raiders defense played great. They got pressure on the QB constantly and mainly from their acquisition Richard Seymour...this is how I thought Fat Albert would play.
- The Ravens offense matured and Flacco looked more poised and had a better understanding of the offense then last year.
- The Eagles brought pressure (as they always do), but I was surprised at the level of intensity and how they had not lost a step with a new Defensive Coordinator
- The Giants young (unheralded) receivers were effective.
What can you say about the Skins where they were better than you expected? I can't think of one thing. This isn't Henny Penny the sky is falling....this is an honest appraisal of my favorite team that I have attended just about every home game for the past 12 years as well as several road game and playoff games.
