GSPODS - OK, who?

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Every team has players who leave and go on to more success elsewhere. Maybe they join a team with a system that fits their particular talents better, or maybe they're leaving a team with a coach that doesn't like them.

I can't say for sure that Wycheck, for instance, would have replicated his success here in Washington. For example, Norv Turner, as poor as a head coach as there was, was an excellent offensive mind. If Wycheck would have fit his system, I'm sure Turner would have used him. Another thing to consider was while Wycheck was in Houston and Tennessee, he played for teams whom he was the primary receiving options because their other receiving options were horrible. It was only after leading the team in receptions for 6 years until they got a decent WR to play beside him.

The WRs he played with made Westbrook look like a super-talent.

And in any case, Wycheck was let go in 1994, long before this present ownership. You really can't play hindsight with these issues, because you can't anticipate what an action could lead to. For example, one could argue that letting Ryan Clark go was a mistake, but then we likely would not have drafted LaRon Landry, and look at where we'd be now...
