i probably spend a third of my waking life thinking about the redskins.
too bad all of it is questioning a hall of fame coaches choice.... troll. you have offered nothing positive to the boards in the last week. however, you do get a bit of a break by having a few good post before tonight.... and last week.

You could have said anything else but that.
You could have said that you hate Gibbs but you to took it to the extreme.
look, i understand where you are coming from. gibbs is a god, i get it. he is a god to me, too. which i think is why i was even more frustrated and dumbfounded with how badly we had been playing. when i heard we hired gibbs back, i couldn't sleep for 2 days. i thought for sure we'd go playoffs 2004, then at least go to the NFC championship if not win the superbowl this year, then definitely win it in 2006, and contend every year thereafter. so my expectations have been really really high.
i don't hate gibbs. i love gibbs. i was around for the 1st gibbs era. hard not to love him after that. but there is one thing i love more than gibbs: the washington redskins. and if it looks like the redskins are a sinking ship, and gibbs is the one at the helm, it doesn't matter to me who he is. i thought they looked like a sinking ship, after how terrible last year was, and for 55 minutes of this game, did it not look like we were in for 2004 Part II? i made a hasty judgement out of passion. i was wrong. i hope more than anything gibbs can get things worked out during the bye week so we can play 60 minutes of great offense instead of 5.
He found the timing when it mattered most! It can only get better.
God lets hope so. I want to see the offense like I saw in the last part of this game. Its also for selfish reasons as it will open up running lanes for my man Portis (who is on my fantasy team).

Timing and crap takes time. Harrison and Peyton practically sleep together because they work together soo much. That type of deep play ability comes with time.
Im not for or against Patrick but he didn't have that timing even after getting all the snaps with the 1st string guys.
Does Brunell have it down? No he doesnt but he took a large step towards it tonight. He has the arm....now...or sometimes.
hailskins666 wrote:dcd, anymore comments as how the mods are forcing you into something you didn't say?
when did i ever say anything remotely resembling that?
by the way, you'd think that given my username, one might assume i could end up being quite volatile during the cowboys game!! i'll admit it, i completely lose it when we play the cowboys. is that such a bad thing??? i hate them so much i absolutely lose my mind when things are going badly.
during one of the dallas games last year i actually had a cop come over to my apartment on the call of a domestic disturbance. he heard me screaming and throwing things from outside the door before he knocked. it took my girlfriend a lot of talking to convince him that i was really that worked up just over a football game, that i wasn't beating her or something. so that gives you a little context as to my mindset. so, i guess i plead "temporary insanity".
Chris - I agree with you. I've been consistent in stating that I just want a QB that can gets us the "W" (I had not believed it was Brunell based upon last year's play ... up until tonight). If that means silver haired Barbara Bush suits up and rolls out to her right to throw to Santana then so be it. I'm very optimistic (I know it is only one win but it was so freakin' HUGE that I'm having trouble calming the euphoria) about our offense now, especially given that we have 2 weeks to prepare for the next opponent..
although i dont agree with the title of this post...at least the guy stayed around and took the heat...forgive and forget...
Ps.. i must also say that i didnt like most of the game...i think we pulled one out...lets hope we dont think we will do that offten..the odds are aginst us...
what a great win...dam we needed that!!!!!!!
hail to the redskins

i just noticed that not a single person made a peep arguing against this thread until AFTER we made the comeback. kinda easy to beat up on me now. but hey, i am repentant! i plead temporary insanity, and want to prove my faith in gibbs:
i absolutely 100% guarantee that there is no way we will lose next week!

You would have gotten beat for this regardless. I wasn't around to post during the game. The win made it 100000x worse but it still would have bad.

gibbskins, i can't tell you how much i appreciate your kind words. i feel you show a lot of maturity and class by not beating up on me, and accepting my penitence.
u dont have to thank me...were all skins fans here right?

HELL YES! there is nothing worse than losing to the cowboys, and nothing better than beating them. i will be in a great mood all week now. wait-- for 2 weeks! suddenly i'm thrilled about the week 3 bye!
I think the bottom line is that we're all happy for this win....we really needed this.. anyone who watched this game cant be completely happy....I’ve been a skins fan since i was 5 years old and ust to walk up town to watch them practice in Carlisle....
my friends and family know how much i love this team...through all the loosing seasons they said why don’t u root for someone else.....there’s no way i could ever root for someone else... if i didn’t like the skins...then i would have to give up on football... cause there’s no other team i would ever root for....i keep telling them the loosing builds character...and its easy to root for a winning team.....
but i must say again...this was not a convincing win...and i dont want to take away from this win...cause it was very important for us to win thins game ...but we need alot of work...and like i said before..we need to through the ball early and often...then be conservative when we have the lead....
Hail to the Redskins

my fiancee has asked me if i could ever consider rooting for the ravens instead of the redskins, since we now live in ravens territory. i said no way!!! even if we lived near a really GOOD team! i will be a skins fan til the day i die, for better or for worse.
well all i will say is......never start a thread saying fire gibbs,, )
Ps. novac should get the game ball....he saved that return kickoff......
