Yeap, we keep him to demonstrate that the majority of amateur, ignorant, know-nothing Redskins fans doing it week after week on this site can be better than a professional, knowledgeable, know-it-all SI writer.

TWICE in a row now, most people posting in the hognostications threads have been doing BETTER than him. See Hognostications NFL Week 1

I keep him as the low standard to beat. So, I am expecting you to REDEEM yourself next week.

This is not meant to be self-deprecating. It's a fact: I cannot pick football games.

I think I have some good information. I certainly know a lot of the people involved. And last week, I said: There is no way the Green Bay Packers are losing to the worst team in football, at home, on the day Reggie White's number is retired. There is no way the Chargers start 0-2. The Ravens, with whomever at quarterback, are going to squash Tennessee. And the Vikes. Those Vikes. Daunte Culpepper is due for a monster day against a suspect Cincy secondary.

Yeah, right.

I went 4-12 in Week 2 just picking winners. No spread involved. I am 14-18 on the season. If I just picked teams playing at home (including the Giants Monday night), I'd be 23-9. But nooooo. I have to be the smart guy.

This week I'll try a new system. I just have no idea what it is yet.

If Peter King can not pick games, What makes him feel that he can elect inductees at the HOF? The "smart guy" is eating raw crow now. If he only could eat as much crow at the next election of HOF inductees with Art Monk!

Ah! Revenge is so nice when all the Pukes fans and the Skins haters have to eat CROW:

Colts run wild
Indy uses rushing game, defense to rise to the top
Dr. Z

I don't believe it ... 3-7! You actually went 3-7? How the hell can you go 3-7, not even picking against the spread, just picking them straight up?

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/w ... index.html

Peter King score is 05 - 07 and Dr. Z score is 03 - 07 in Week 2.

EVERYBODY in this thread was BETTER than them.

King and Z are total idiots. To think that these so-called sports columnist (I was going to call them jounrnalist but what they do is no where near journalism) can't pick games as well as some of the get fans on THN is hilarious. They have no credibility what so ever.

RiC Predictions

by Redskin in Canada
This is a deceptively "simple" week, not that the others have been simpler to predict. Just ask the "SI professionals" such as Peter King (5-11) and Dr. Z (3-13) about last week.

Let's see: :hmm:

BILLS
BEARS
Bucaneers
COLTS
Panthers
VIKINGS
Jaguars
Raiders
RAMS
Cowboys
SEAHAWKS
Patriots
CHARGERS
Chiefs

(home teams in capital letters):

I expect the Raiders to come through with a win on the road against Philly. Also, it will be very tough BUT the Patriots will regain their form in Pittsburgh. I know I am going against conventional wisdom in both cases but I believe that both teams have strong enough character to win AWAY. I predict a tough week for the two teams in Transylvania.

Only the Colts, Chiefs, Bucaneers and Redskins will remain undefeated after Week 3 ...

Will these be even close after the injuries to some of their key players?

If they are true, you you may have "redeemed" yourself indeed. Otherwise ...

If I get less than 7 right again, feel free to call me "REDEEMEDKING", and no, I wouldn't take it as a compliment. :x
