i'm NOT touching this game with a ten foot pole no matter what the point spread is ..

eagles vs. redskins usually is a pretty wild game but ....if we try to out score them we will be blown off the field .... we must make it a hard hitting run first pass second type game ...almost like MARTYBALL .....that is the only way we will have a chance.

...almost like MARTYBALL ....
Martyball is like Gibbs-ball, but without the offense. Ramsey should be, at least, competent.
To quote Gibbs on a previous Eagles coach, the guy who invented the "modern" max-blitz defense, and who, unlike Andy Reid said that Gibbs was a whimpy has-been:
"Buddy Ryan...[slaps football] Bud-dy Ryan...[slaps football harder]. We'll see".
(Redskins then humiliated Eagles in playoff game. Ryan panicked, and pulled Cunningham for Jim McMahon. Hogs overran Jerome Brown and Reggie White.)

Sorry, I know you guys were not a fit for Trotter, but to get 202 tackles you have to do just slightly more than jump on the pile...
Different scheme...different results...
FYI, General Failure is an Eagles fan.....I don't think his comments had anything to do with Trotter's fit in the Redskins defense.
What is this world coming to when I'm thought of as a Skins fan?

please god, never let me hear/see the word "marty" again, anywhere, ever! he is the single most incompetent bastard i've ever seen. it's mind-boggling that any of these sports media idiots don't realize this after his year here and the pathetic seasons that followed in SD. yeah his team is succeeding now but you can be assured it is for the same reason he had any success earlier in his career- his assistants must be running the show and doing a good job.
as for that term "martyball", it's so offensive- all he did was rip off gibbs's style- good defense, pound pound pound with the run. the only thing he forgot was the ground game is supposed to open up the deep ball on play action. then he takes this crappified version of gibbs's genius and gets his name slapped on it. blugh!
