Your posts demonstrate an utter lack of understanding of market forces. There is really no use debating this, because we are basically having two different conversations. You go on thinking that you have Jones by the balls, and he'll go on making millions off of you. It's what keeps the world revovling.

Hello! This post supports my point. Even if The Great and Powerful TexasCowpuke witholds his money, there are countless others just like you that would be glad to buy the tickets and merchandise, etc.

Name one? I doubt you could because many Dallas fans are pretty much sayin the same thing I am. the team has to get
better in order for me to go back and watch a game down in
Texas

I'll guarentee before the year is out Texas Stadium won't even have half the seats filled

As for right now, though, I can point to about 50,000 fans that support Jones as an owner (or at least put up with him) enough to buy tickets and go see the game every week. You might know a lot of people that are saying the same thing as you, but the masses that still watch Cowboys football overwhelm your anedcdotal evidence.

One day I'm going to see you admit that you were just posturing, and that a statement you made really doesn't hold water. When that day comes, I will probably have some kind of myocardial infarction.

So, since you won't admit your claims make no sense, why don't you just "forget" to come back to this thread and stop posting progressively weaker attempts at supporting the unsubstantiable position expressed in your posts?

yeah, they are watching at home, supporting the TV contract, which is where some of the real money is (that and merchandising).

the stadium receipts hardly pay the 3rd string waterboy's salary. it's really a non-factor in the financial viablity of the team.

it may seem that way to you but if you can't see it that way don't matter to me one way or the other

TexasC wrote:One more thing why would a Redskins fan who hates the Cowboys all of a sudden defend Jerry Jones?

I do hate that team in Texas and I'm NOT defending Jerry Jones. I'm just saying you can Fire the owner no matter how much you want too, and a boycott of games won't work.

The Jacksonville Jaguars haven't had Back to Back sellouts in years. The Team would buy up the tickets and give them away or find more corparate sponsors to purchase blocks of seats to fet the games televised and this has been going on for three or four years.

You were asked when your brillant plan had worked and gave you normal babble but if it had worked Jerry would be the owner now would he? But you don't seem to understand that.

And if he sold the team.......He'd make a profit.
If the new owners purchased the team thinking there is a declining fan base they'd move the team.
Atleast Jerry would keep them in Texas, New owners would have a larger range of locations

Jones, he is older and set in his ways.

Jone has won Superbowls by being who he is.

It would be hard to tell this man otherwise.

IMO Jones! I think that Joe has some sort of agreement with DS! I do not believe he would come back without some sort of security! That's just my opinion.

Jones will not tolerate too much more!

I also think last year was not due to fat boy as much as for whatever reason they just flat out over achieved last year and now, with an improved team? we are seeing that they just plain suck and do not have a very good future.

Last year that team in Texas played a 5-11 schedule with a young QB/RB combo this year they had to play with a old QB/RB combo

Parcell normally would have a tough schedule the first year and a weak schedule the 2nd year. This gave him the chance to put a team together that 1st year and be ready for the soft schedule the next year (that's why he always makes the playoffs he 2nd year)

But he tore apart the work that he did last year and had a harder schedule to boot

Tex, that's the silliest thing I've ever read. I actually feel dumber for having read it.
There is nothing that Jones can do that will keep the Cowboy fans out of Texas Stadium. They will come in droves, regardless of the team he fields.
Maybe you should switch to a light beer.

I sometimes wonder why you post things tcw! I mean, you could have fun just sitting around thinking.

These 2 owners have franchises that the fans will support regardless of how they meddle.

I just think that JJ will meddle sooner, although DS must be getting a little antsy!
