To your point... not likely... every running back fumbles... some a lot... some rarely. Torrain has demonstrated that he falls on the "not often" side of the scale. A reasonably clued-in fan will know that.

I don't think that Tim is THAT much faster than Torain for the following reason. Torain is more decisisve and does a lot less dancing than Tim, which makes him quicker. Now if you're just talking about speed in a 40 yd dash, Tim is faster. If you're talking about outrunning a DB to the endzone on a 50 yd run, Tim is faster. But Tim hasn't even been in that position because he's not breaking any big runs due to dancing and inexperience.

I'm not down on Tim, I love that he's here but I'm big on production.

I take it you don't think I'm reasonably "clued in". Somehow me mentioning how if he'd lost the fumble we may not be so high on Torain starting, turned into me saying he has fumbling issues, or that I think running back should never fumble.

I clicked Torain but I meant to click on Hightower. He has the speed to tire them out and Torain has the power to make them hurt.

Honestly, I don't care who starts.. I feel they should both get carries to keep the defense on their toes

The point is, apparently you think fans are so fickle that they will abandon him at the first lost fumble. I give them more credit. It is what it is.

first two split with tower on 3rd helu spelling if need be ...dont see a better rotation if they are rolling.

i loved the All-Torain Vehicle last year and was thrilled to be reminded of what a BEAST he is on sunday. i love the idea of him pounding the snot out of defenses for the first 3 quarters and and then bringing Helu to blow by worn out defenders in the 4th. Hightower, to me, has looked far less impressive than the other two and at this point i'd prefer to see him in the #3 role.

the order DOES NOT have to be fixed. It depends on the matchups and the style of defense that we play each week.

Hightower needs to dance less and be more decisive. He needs to understand that this is a ONE CUT running offense now. I am sure he is being coache-up to it. I like our three RBs.

What a great position to be in. Why argue or whine? Can't we all get along? :lol:

1. Torain
2. Helu
3. Tim

I agree with a couple of posts here in that the 'pecking order' is not at all as important as the decision by Mike et al, namely that the RB used will be that which best suits the situation at the time

I doubt that the players care

as a fan I voted for Hightower because that's what got us here :lol:

Helu, Hightower & Torain will continue to help the offense - we are VERY fortunate

I guess it should not surprise us: - ....
Mike has always had a reputation for finding a way to get a lot out of his RBs
Mike basically 'invented'/perfected the ZBS
The Redskins have an 'issue' at QB so we were going to need to be more solid with our ground game

VOILA :shock:

I'm telling you - if this ground game can keep the offense on the field, even THIS offense might score more points :lol:

They would be fresh. They would last longer throughout the season. They would be used to apply their best skills at the right times.

I agree with this. I think that's exactly what Shanny is planning, to go with the hot hand any given Sunday. I like the approach. Gives us more flexibility.

Best back to start, with "the Train" you know it won't be a deep pass to start the game but some type of run, draw or screen.

With Hightower they have all their options open, but seem to keep calling that stretch play where Hightower never picks a hole, plants and makes the cut. He just lets the play get strung out (the O-line could help a little here), but Tim can stay in the backfield and help protect Grossman if Kyle wants to open it up early, Hightower is also the best pass catcher in the group.

Helu is a rookie, he'll come along in time. Start this poll in week ten and see where he stands but not yet.

Torain looked real good on Sunday for one game and has never not been dinged up. The word was if Helu or Royster (I forget which one) hadn't got a concussion in the last preseason game RT would not have made the final 53
