If they came here illegally than they shouldn't be working here, PERIOD. Your saying if they work here for a couple of years as illegal immigrants than they should have an easier opportunity to get citizenship? BOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! (unless I totally misread the whole thing) Look, I'm in Langleypark and its like little El Salvador, Cuba, DR, etc. all in one and though some that I know are cool and all that, one of those same guys COULD be on illegal status and take away a job that Johnny who was born in Holy Cross has worked hard for.. I'm not with that at all.

There is plenty of relevance.

These people who enter this country need to support themselves. A good number of these immigrants will come here looking for jobs. A job market which is flooded with legals and illegals already.
With a 10 percent national unemployment average. What jobs will there be for them?
A good number of foreign students overstay there visas, quit school and get jobs. There is no problem when the exchange students education is being paid for by there country's government. They are pouring money into our economy. Once they decide to quit and get a job which would have gone to a citizen? Now there goes another oppurtunity for the citizen. One less job in the market for an already overcrowded job market.
So that in turn may mean another citizen turns to government assistance.

Overpopulation and immigration are directly related. However you slice it there is more people then jobs.
We need the number of small business owners to grow. I live in Southern California and have seen a number of small businesses go. I also have a friend who leases out commercial real estate. The number of vacant suites grows daily.

For me I want to see small business grow and the unemployment rate drop before letting in more people who may just drain economy.

If you were looking at the customer traffic of a particular retail store, would you combine paying shoppers with shoplifters? They both want your merchandise.

Unfortunately, in a land where the 10th amendment is considered optional, it's not much of a step to enforcing only those laws which are easy or convenient to enforce.

The 10th Amendment is an argument for either party to use in policies they oppose. Ashcroft being such a great exemplar of that going both ways where the Constitution was a sledge hammer for that which he agreed with and toilet paper for that he didn't.

I think training for military pilots should be done along the border, when they detect illegals crossing we send in tactical units to intercept them for real life training.

We are rotting from the inside out as a nation. Eventually when the world looks back on the United States our problem will have stemmed from illegals easily crossing the border.

If you think Islamic extremists are not coming in as well you are wrong. This is a bigger problem than most people realize.

Big businesses that financially support government officials would not be very happy if a candidate wanted to run all of their field workers out now would they.... Scumbags, sweeping this issue under the carpet.

I don't call them illegals, I use the term squatters. Just like how the Jews squat on the land of the Palestinians. It sounds funnier too.
