George Rogers wore 38, so you mr Surfskin probably has a short memory (as well as not a lot of paitience by the sounds of things) 38 is available. He'll probably get 26 but what does it really matter? People are just curious.

26 is traditinally more of a DBs number, prople like Rod Woodson have made it so.

Deuce McAllister is the only other top RB that I can remember to wear 26.

Just like you would associate 32 more with HBs than DBs.

Well rember the twenty part of the five and that everyone else has a view point as well. By the way, do you know about Riggins, Huff, Baugh etc? I'm 32 but I'm a Skins FAN which means I have any interest in Skins history to.

You really come across as having a bit of an attitude, it's a shame cos you're the only one that has seemed that way to me and you probably aren't doing yourself justice.

Im 28 and I remember Goerge Rogers. Age is not an excuse. I see you joined after Joe Gibbs came back. Who did you like last year? The Patriots cause they were the super bowl favorites? Who's it gonna be next year?

Agreed - if there are any problems here, please take it to the smack forum. If not - stay civil in here. Those are the rules and we EXPECT them to be followed.

We established those rules so that people could talk here in an environment unlike other boards everyone is complaining about.

Thanks from the moderators.

I apologize for the outburst. I think we are all sensitive when it comes to the Skins, especially this time of year when the adrenaline is running on high.

Understood - as I let all know in PMs, attacks on PEOPLE take place in the smack forum and there ONLY :)

Debate ideas folks - fine - make fun or otherwise be derogatory towards others - you won't only get a message from us, you lose respect on here from other users.

I appreciate adrenaline - ask Boss :) I am full of it when it comes to ideas, spewing them and defending them... but it can be done with manners. No, let me rephrase - according to the rules we fully enforce - it will be done with manners.

Ok? :)

Hey Surferskin, My respect level for you just tripled. Thanks. It is hard to judge someone's tone in text sometimes. But you have been a man about it and i appreciate it.

By the way, for what it's worth, I agree with you about Rogers, I just remember him wearing 38, it wasn't one of our better trades.

:)

I didn't like Riggs or Rogers - I thought they were both average for what we gave up for them. I don't like taking a back just cause he fits a "mold" like Riggins. I think Portis will do well because he can scat outside like a scalded dog, but also as a decoy - watch the Denver games on the link that people have provided - half the passing TDs come off a fake run to Portis - man does he make defenses freeze in their tracks when they play action...

cool, we're straight...i just realized it's pretty silly thing that were were arguing about (what # portis will wear??!! #-o ), it's certainly nothing to question what kind of skin's fan any of us are

amen :)

We have more important things to debate - what are we doing with our picks, who do we get in FA next, where is Len going to get his 7th 7 course meal, yada yada yada...

I agree. Like diesel said, the thing about text is that it's all about interpretation.

I think that Portis will be good and I think that while it is completely upto Iffy to release the number, I think if Portis wants it, he will get it.

Man, thats a tough one, it kind of sucks for Ohalete, cuz more than likely they are gonna satisfy the big money maker..
They did the same thing to Cloman when he first got signed, they told him he could wear #80(his NFL europe number), shortly thereafter they signed Coles...
"Hey Cloman, about that number 80"...hahah
