Got a reply from the Redskins today. No jumbo tron action.

They offered, however, to send some Cheerleader Ambassadors to my seat carrying a card (or something like that) to give to my girl....proposing to her.

I'm gonna work out the details tomorrow.

I'm actually taking her to the next 2 home games, so I may just do it for the Panthers game (cuz I can't wait until the Falcons game).

If you do it at the game, try doing it in the club level seats..having your girl sitting outside in the freezing cold would not exactly be romantic especially with the likelihood of drunken idiots all around.

She's pretty hot though...so congrats!

Well, if you read my FREE DREAM SEATS TO THE PANTHERS GAME thread, you know what happened today. I didn't go to the game because I was feeling ill. I decided to give my tickets away instead.

So, needless to say, I didn't propose to anyone at the game today.

Instead, around 12:15 PM, I took my girlfriend, Cheryl, to a park, the place I first fell in love with her, and proposed to her there. She said "YES!" We then went to the local brew pub to watch the Skins play, to tell our friends, and to celebrate our engagement.

Here is a picture of us today (after having a few beers and a shot for good measure):

So, no Jumbo Tron. No cheerleaders. No Redskins.

What I did get, however, was a "YES"...and that made it all worth while. I'm a happy camper tonight.

I'll be taking Cheryl to the Falcons game next week as my fiance. It will be her first ever NFL game and she's really excited.

You're a good sport, JH...and I wish you all the best.
Before you know it, she'll have more posts than you...and probably, better content. :)

Congrats, JH. And tell Cheryl that a bunch of us at P&P said "Hi".

Thanks, Dan. I will.

For the rest of you, like me, Cheryl is a former Probation/Parole Officer - which is another reason we're so compatible. It's scary, really.
