Once you have made about three or four in a row and are established as "one of the best" by the media, the pro-bowls are guaranteed just off name alone. Allen hasn't been great for several years.

I do not think we are looking for a great lineman or a starter, we are looking for a quality back up. Larry Allen could fill that roll with no problem.

Wherever Larry signs, it will be for a decent contract and a guarnateed starting spot. The Redskins probably can't afford him and probably would not want to bench Dockery or Thomas. We need a younger OL who will provide cheap depth.
