It is only the first round out of a sixteen rounds match. The "official" score for NFL Week 1 is (drum roll):

win loss

10 - 06 hkHog
10 - 06 Redskin in Canada

09 - 07 DEHog
09 - 07 Fios
09 - 07 JSPB22
09 - 07 Redeemed
09 - 07 spudstr04

08 - 08 FanFrom Annapolis
08 - 08 Texas Hog (Hognostications Week 1)

07 - 09 blchizzleke
07 - 09 diecowboysdie

06 - 10 Scottskins

For a reference, Peter King had 8 wins versus 8 loses or ... 50/50

Those games by the 49ers and the Saints threw most (all) scores down by two.

The Hognostications made by Texas Hog are logical. They make sense. In fact, they make TOO MUCH sense. The NFL does not always work like that. I am going to gamble against sound logic -several- times.

My picks:

Panthers: 1st pick against conventional wisdom. Carolina and Julius shall overcome
Bears: Their defense is for real.
Bungles: 2nd pick against conventional wisdom. No Moss, no passing, no kidding.
Steelers: I am gambling but I have not lost my mind yet.
Colts: The Jags defense is not better than the Raven's.
Eagles: Read Steelers comment above.
Bills: Mularkey has them playing at a high level. The Caddy falters.
Ravens: It is Tennessee guys, come on!
Rams: Arizona disappointed in a big way last week.
Seahawks: They bring Vick back to the ground. Holmgren's job on the line.
Chargers: Broncos are a disaster in the making. Jake did not disappoint.
Green Bay: Favre will help me out here.
Jets: Miami always has had problems winning there.
Chiefs: Turner has not understood his team yet.
Saints: They are playing their "home" game, right? Heart choice for an inspirational story in 2005.
Redskins: Texas Hog and I are voting with our heart, not our brain.

Gibbs may be giving us the "best" chance to win with Brunell but that "best" chance produced less than 10 points last week. I hate -every- second of it. It is almost like walking into a precipice with tons of notice in advance.

Not that I'm going to keep up with these, but I think you need to check your score as well. I count 7 missed picks -
Raiders
Panthers
Vikings
Cardinals
Chargers
Rams
and Ravens

I didn't check anyone else's and wasn't picking on you....just was looking to see which games you'd picked correctly.
