God Bless DirecTV. I love the Ticket and it's a bargain!

No game is free, advertisers are paying the networks who pay the NFL to advertise to you. What you want is actually free games because DC advertisers don't want to pay for you since you don't live there. Nothing is free, Virginia...
Games that aren't aired on the Ticket are free to viewers. All advertisers have to pay to run their ads just the same whether their ad is aired on local programming or on the Ticket.

Who doesn't love the Ticket. It just isn't the bargain you claim it is. I swear you either get paid by DTV, or you get the Ticket free for promoting it.....anyone who thinks the Ticket is a bargain at $300+ a season is nuts...

If they doubled the price I'd pay it without batting an eyelash. $20 a week for every NFL game? You go to a mediocre sports bar for 3 hours to watch the game and you'd spend double that. It's the cost of an OK dinner out...for one. It's half a tank of gas in an economy car. Dude, they are paying me nothing. They are giving me every NFL game for $20 a week. I can't begin to imagine complaining about that.

Sorry, I don't share your opinion, and I would guess DTV would lose A LOT of Ticket subscribers if they doubled the price...again....

It's worth it to me - I don't see them doubling it but there will be a time SOON when we are paying double what we're paying now
I'll probably pay that too
I do know that right now I'm watching some rugby games that are a part of Rugby World Cup - 2011 - on DirecTV - these are all pay-per-view games EVEN though I pay a little extra each month to DirecTV to ensure I get some soccer and rugby games
NOTE: - Rugby World Cup - 2011 - there are 43 games at $12.95 & some at $14,95 EACH
THEN - there are 5 playoff games and I'll bet they raise the price for each of them
that's $556.85 +
In the VERY near term we are going to pay to watch sports events that are now available for free - that's the way it is
I have a huge SONY flat screen and it's just for sports - I may watch 4-5 movies A YEAR
I love DirecTV - I pay more than I would for Cox OR Verizon BECAUSE I get the NFL Ticket

Dude, if you don't think it's worth it, don't pay for it. Otherwise, quit your bitchin'.

I haven't argued it's affordable to me. I've argued what you get for it and comparable costs. For $20 you can't go to a sports bar and watch the game unless you seriously nurse a couple of beers and one appetizer for 3+ hours while the staff glare at you for wasting their space. And then you only get to watch one game. Or for $20 you can get the Skins and every other NFL game for the entire weekend and you watch it on our own sofa. You can't afford that?

What does the cost of going to a sports bar have to do with the fact that the price of the Ticket has doubled (unnecessarily) over the last 8 years? Your argument seems to be that price of the Ticket is a bargain compared to going out to watch a game. My argument is that the Ticket used to be a good value, but the price continues to increase every year unnecessarily making it less and less of a value....

Maybe it's that "unnecessarily" part.
