Taylor Talk
Let's hear it for Sean Taylor, who each week has his best game. He was everywhere yesterday, making plays in run support, going one-on-one with TO, making special teams tackles, and generally wreaking havoc all over the field. His hitting is quickly becoming legendary. Is this guy defensive rooking of the year?

I was just looking at his stats on the pro bowl ballot. He's as good as anybody on that ballot! Might be a toss up between him and Roy Williams as far as stats go - I haven't really watched Williams closely to know for sure. Is this a pro bowl year for the rookie?
btw I was just thinking this morning that the T.O. vs. Sean Taylor matchup the next couple of years is only going to get better and better. Those Eagles receivers were terrified of getting smacked by Taylor!!!!

I thinking that Taylor will have an experience similar to Bailey, who I believe (and do correct me if I'm wrong) had a pretty great rookie season but still barely missed the cut for the Pro Bowl. Of course, that didn't bother Skins fans too much because we knew he had what it took to become a great CB, and the next year the rest of the league knew it, too.
Sean Taylor has had more hype, which generally helps more than anything else in getting to, or not getting to, the Pro Bowl (read: Jansen). But I still don't see him making it this year. If he works hard and listens to his coaches, I don't think anything will stop him from being in the top 5 (or perhaps top 3) of safeties next year.

It took a Patriot's fan to say this.LALUVAH wrote:Let's hear it for Sean Taylor, who each week has his best game. Of course he played great! Pinkston was terrified during the game. T.O. rather went off the field early enough than face Sean. The kid is the most talented defensive player in our tean in the eyes of many, including mine.
He is our law enforcer in the secondary.
