We're driving towards the end zone and all we need is a field goal, and he throws THAT pass?

What the HELL was that all about?

I think Ramsey has enormous talent, but if you don't have the mentality to refrain from throwing that type of play you're not gonna get very far. That was disgusting!!!

I didn't think we were going to win this game earlier in the week, but I got caught up in the game, only to have my heart broken by that pass. Still, the 'Skins gave the Eagles everything they could handle, and it was that play that beat the 'Skins. Not the Eagles.

madman, Ramsey is our future ;-)

The way the Skins have played all year, to see them starting to play like this and not see it in a positive note is just crazy. Ramsey has started four games this season and is still learning how to be a real NFL QB. Give him a break. Look at his mobility now. He's made huge strides there. He will make the strides in all the other facets of his game as well.

True, Scottskins, but for the moment, this was a winnable game, and it hurts pretty bad to lose a close one that we coulda had.

Going down the field is fine but how about trying it during the first 3 quarters...an awful decision by PRAM none-the less I dont think the skins have once thrown long out of that heavy jumbo formation I believe there is only one WR (McCants) in the route 3 if you count Portis and Cooley. Still 2/3 options were in the endzone double covered it fooled nobody...but i guess thats why you throw the ball away if nothing is open downfield in that situation. Overall a great improvement and it will hopefully continue to rise. Peace...

I feel that DE. I lost a few bucks on this game, but now I'm gonna have to put up with a couple Eagle fan idiots. They are as bad as most Cowboy fans. Oh well, I'm happy with my teams progress, and that's all that matters to me. I really think we are on the bubble of greatness once again.

WHy on first down on the Eagles 27, down by 3, with 1:54 on the clock and 2 timeouts, do you go for an endzone shot!

I am so pissed off right now I can't stand it. Our clock management needs serious attention - I told my wife "The one thing we can't have is a turnover, we need to run the clock down, go for a touchdown or have the field goal to force overtime."

That's what we got.

I don't even blame Ramsey - even tho the throw was terrible - he didn't call that play. Even if we scored, Philly gets the ball with almost 2 minutes to go and have McNabb and TO.

The other ting to think about, Gibbs isn't running his offense yet. Like not putting Ramsey in sooner, we don't know why. But, I do have faith in him, and when he thinks it's time, we will start seeing Gibbs offense. Gibbs is holding back quite a bit, and think that last pass of Ramsey's is exactly why. Once he gets the kids head on straight. Look out!!!

I know it sucks waiting for that to happen until next year, but you can only go as fast as it takes to teach a guy how to QB. I'm willing to accept a crappy record this season in order for PRam to be great after this season.

All I can add is "ditto"

You summed it up. Keep driving and if you have to settle, then settle for 3. I love Ramsey, but that was a bad pass. Too bad Gibbs called the play. Where is that kind of play calling early in the game? And when exactly, are we getting an OC????

We won't get an OC. Gibbs is the OC and always will be. Nothing I can say will convince you otherwise, but next season you won't be calling for an OC...

yeah, Scottskins, I feel ya on having to have the Eagles fans hound you, I live in Delaware (as if THAT isn't obvious), and I'm surrounded by Eagles fans at work... they'll try to razz me, but I have perfected "the look", and since they don't exactly consider me to be terribly stable to begin with, they'll shut up pretty quickly.

hahaha, nice DE.

I'm not usually one to mess with about the Redskins. I used to own a bar and some of my regulars learned real quick not to talk smack about the Skins after a loss. Never punched anyone, but it was real real close a couple times.

These days, I've mellowed quite a bit and since I had lower expectaions about this season and in my eyes am seeing great strides, I don't get too pissed very often. I got down a few times when we weren't really in the game, but I feel we coulda won our last 3 games, and since they were all against two of the best teams in the league, I feel pretty good about our future.

This team IS improving and very much headed in the right direction. Since I can see that we will be very good next season, it's just hard for me to get down about losing. The winning will start coming. The foundation is being built.

we can analyze all we want, but IMO it was Ramsey's fault, plain and simple. He thru a HORRIBLE pass and made a HORRIBLE decision. I'm sure he had other guys open to pick up a few. Cheesy, cheesy throw.

Playcalling-wise is was fine? We go for the WIN not the tie....Tie with Eagles and you'll probably end up losing...We'd have been up 4 with a TD..they'd have had to drove the field. Sure, less time to take a shot might have been wise, since it was first down, but hind sights 20/20...I dug the call, just not P-Rams typical, worst of all time to throw a bad throw..Not like it's the first time.

Shouldn't Gibbs take some responsibility for Ramsey's last pass? Doesn't Gibbs call the plays? Not only were they in field goal range, but, whatever they scored, TD or FG, they should have been trying to use as much time as possible--why throw in the end zone at all at that point?? Gibbs must take some responsibility for that.

yeah, I know we'll start winning, I expect that we might sweep the board the rest of the season, against the 'Boys, the 49'ers and the Vikings, so I'm hopeful for the future. The only thing that is going to hurt is seeing the Eagles in the playoffs again, and no 'Skins. But oddly enough, I may find myself in an unusual position, rooting for the Eagles. I made a promise to a very dear friend, who went into the hospital a month ago, that I would root for the Eagles in all "non-Redskins" games, if he was not able to. He went into a coma last week and is not expected to live through the week, so it'll be wierd if he doesn't have a miraculous recovery...

Gibbs may call the offensive plays, but there's a guy on the other side of the field calling the defensive plays, and if he manages to get the recievers covered in a passing situation, ya can't really blame Gibbs.

Gibbs called the play, but it's Ramseys responsibility to decide whether to throw to that receiver or not. He has other options. He should have recognized that he would be throwing into double coverage, and opted for a shorter pass. Part of Gibbs offense mandates that the QB throws the smart pass, not high risk passes like that. If Cooley was open, that pass might have been the "smart" pass, but Cooley was smothered by Green jerseys, and the ball didn't go anywhere near Cooley. I don't think he should have made that pass, but that's just my opinion. That was a perfect example of whats holding Ramsey back from being a good QB.

Sorry to hear about your friend DE, hopefully he will come out of it fine.

The way the Eagle boys have been acting after the game, I might even root for them. I don't hate the Eagles, but lately their fans seem to be turning into cowboy-like fans. That has made me hate them a little. GF makes it better, and some of the other guys seem ok now that the game is over.

If ya gotta root for them, just think of it as the NFC East showing it's strength. If the Eagles got it this year, and the Skins get it 2 out of the next 3(which I think they will), that makes for a pretty nice mantle of power lol

Seriously, I dunno if I can root for the Eagles, but if the Eagles fans stay cool, I at least won't root against them =)

I can't get too upset, though. Once the initial hurt ends (and it DOES hurt), the fact is that we took a team that was 11-1 coming in, and pushed them until that pass. The other thing that killed the 'Skins was penalties again, a few less of those and the pass might not have been needed. Anyway, it's water under the brige, and now time to focus on the Cowpies!

Man, lets give the guy a break. One week everyone loves him the next they don't. He throw one errant pass  . Now it did happen at the worst possible time but it did. I think he played a good game for us.

I think the problem lied in time management and play calling.
