well, luckily for both the Eageles AND Redskins fans posting in this thread...The game starts in 15 1/2 hours.....

Once this game is over, and the Skins win 31-17 like I predicted ;-) The only Eagles fans we will see here, are GF and probably 2 others saying how the Eagles let us win because they didn't want their starters hurt for the playoffs or some such crap.

I can't wait for this game. This is the week that the media and the fans of all the other teams get to see what happens when you put a lot of talent and a hall of fame coach together...

Too bad Brunell(horribly horribly bad QB this year) had to ruin Gibbs coming out party earlier this year. Ramsey will make him look very very good now though!!!

looking over some of the threads, i can appreciate some confident skin fans, predicting a win for their team.

i believe in this league a team is oft preceived as good as their last game. the skins had an impressive win over the giants. the birds are white hot. the eagles may have a let down, but that is really the only angle i can imagine as feul for the upset.

portis is the only weapon i see on that team, and i think everyone watching the game will know that too (jim johnson). ramsey will have to play the best game of his young career. and the offensive line ? i just can't see it. what's up with coles? i thought he was gonna be a great wr. is it a system type thing?

First of all how we did before this game is completely not the point. In the NFL there have been numerous teams that have shocked everyone, mostly their opponents and won with the odds stacked against them. The Giants were our turning point. And that's that. Plain and simple this team is a different team then it was the last time you saw us. Yes the Giants stink and yes we should have beat them HOWEVER our team had great execution on last Sunday. Something the fans have been waiting for, for a long time. We beat the Bears and the stink but it was an ugly win. That Giants win was beautiful. There were very little errors and it doesn't matter how you stack it that will pay off this evening against the Eagles.

If we play like we did last week you Eagles fans will be eating your words. We have it all together and if we carry it over the Eagles may go home with stunned looks of disbelief on their faces.

See my post in the Welcome Wagon, this is one of those teams that is going to be a surprise contender. One of those teams that will have analysts everywhere eating their words. Just sit back and watch! ;-)

My favortie line from the Simpsons:

Flanders: "Looks like someone is having a pre-rapture party!"

Homer: "No Flanders, it's a meeting of gay witches for abortion , you wouldn't be interested!"

Let's add another element: coaching staff. Gibbs-teams have a tendency to play better than their on-paper talent. Always have.

His teams also have had a tendency to knock off favorites. Recall the SB 15 "all-time great" Bears? Guess what team knocked them out of the playoffs the next near? And the year after that?
