Andy Reid on Patrick Ramsey

Post by THE RAM »

On his impressions of Patrick Ramsey:
"To be honest, I have been impressed with Patrick since he has played against us last year. I thought he had a pretty nice future ahead of him and I still feel that way. He is playing good football and he will do nothing but get better with time. He is a competitive kid who will hang in there and take a lick when needed and still throw the ball accurately. He looks to be very competitive."

Andy Reid has proven over the last years he is one of the best coaches in the NFL and to see him talk about Ramsey like he did that is very optimistic for all of us redskins fans, I´ve said ot all year Ramsey will be a probowl QB in the future and a redskin QB for many years to come.

I hope we don't trade him. I like to see him in Redskins uniform and starting in Coach Gibbs offense.

I don´t think by any matter Gibbs will trade Ramsey, he has two years left in his contract and at the beginning of the season Gibbs said Ramsey will win a bunch of games for the redskins. Ramsey is our QB for many years to come.

Ramsey isn't our future anymore he is our present. He is our starter and will continue to start for many years to come.

What is the possibility of Brunnel being traded? I think he is very expensive backup to Ramsey. If Brunnel gets traded, what kind of impact his 8M bonus will bring to the team.

The Redskins have as good a chance of trading Brunell as Janet Reno has at getting laid tonight....

I'll sleep with her if that means we can get rid of Brunell

I'd do it with pride. I never wanted that bum here anyway. If we could take up a collection that would take his cap hit off us, I have no doubt that it would be done and he would be gone. But for now, I suppose I better get to Janet's house. ;)

If for some mysterious reason Brunell is released in the coming weeks, I better not get any flack from any of you. Maybe somebody got to her first, you never know. And I don't kiss and tell, so don't expect any details IF it was me that took care of things. ;)

I agree with everything Reid said, but honestly, did you think he would have said anything different even if he really thought otherwise? Read his qoutes every week, they're the same for every opposing QB.

You're right. And it's not just Reid. It's the norm for any coach to put a shine on the opposing qb, plus anybody else that comes to mind.
Wouldn't it be a shocker to hear somebody come out and say the polar opposite, just once ?
"Ramsey ?" (chuckles) "Give me a break. Have you seen our record against Ramsey ? 3-0. What makes you think he's going to turn into Unitas over the weekend ? Ramsey's chances of getting out of the game alive are about the same as Jevon and Terrell getting caught giggling while snapping wet towels on each other in the buff."
