10-9, panthers up at the half. stephen davis busted a 64 yd run, but pulled a quad at the end of the run. :roll:

defensive battle here. and might i add julius peppers is awesome. we need a guy like that, too bad they are few and far between.

That was one of the best games I've seen in many many years. Nothing will come close to the San Diego - Dolphins game, but this was AWESOME!!!

Carolina is my short term (playoffs only) team now. They have Steven Davis and Dan Henning as OC. Hope Davis can play next week. GO CAROLINA!!!!

Definitely a thrilling game. I'm kind of glad that the Rams lost. I don't think Martz is that good a coach (playing for the tie tonight was cowardly), and I don't like the way he treated Warner this season... starting off the season saying that Warner was his starter, and then sitting him down for the season after ONE game? Maybe Kurt can get Martz a job at his old grocery store once Martz finishes flaming out.

How Martz didn't take at least one shot at he end zone -- at home, WITH a time out -- is uncomprehensible.

If you're Rams brass, do you start contemplating whether you can this "genius"?

And to me, he ain't that smart.

Not as smart as HE thinks at least

He'll be second guessed to death about the way he ended regulation... and he'll deserve it.

I don't know who they gave the game ball(s) to... but that Carolina guy who picked off that pass in OT... that was an incredible interception and kept their season alive!

What a poor display of coaching first Martz outsmarts himself in the redzone and comes away with 12 when he should have have at least 20 and possibly 28 point and blown this game wide open. Lovie Smith didn't you watch the Dallas/Panthers tapes??? When the Panthers have 3rd and +10 they aren't afraid to run it!! Can't remember how many drives were extended on 3rd and long and kept your D on the field much longer then they should have. That air leak you hear is the air coming out of you HC chances!!

Then Martz plays for a tie wit 54 seconds and a TO left and you have the Panthers on their heels??? I was praying they would miss the field goal...then in OT you attempt a 53 yarder???? Easy to second guess here...I know Wilkins is a good kicker, but I saw your face you weren't confident in your kickers ability to get it done and more importantly you had no confidence in your D which is why you put the game in Wilkins leg. When you should have punted or even gone for it on fourth down either way the Panthers would have started deeper in their territory Congrat to John Fox and the Panther...I say again stop the run and run the ball.

delhomme to steve smith for the winning score. how many times have they done that this season.... eight games decided by a score or less. 1-15 in 01, 7-9 in 02, then 10-6 and at least the nfc champ game this season. Fox has done an excellent job....

IMO, the Panthers are proof positive that you can throw me and Wingman out as DBs if your pass rush is good enough. What a d-line they have.

Martz is like Spurrier only he's a little bit better. Sometimes that ego just gets in the way of everything.

I think they call it visions of grandeur.

I do have to give Martz his dues though, for a while there, he had a lot of people thinking that you could win with all out offense as opposed to running and stopping the run... Steve Spurrier included.

Personally I think that's due to Faulk's abilities as much as anything else. There aren't too mnay Marshall, Marshall, Marshall's out there to make that system work.
