Welcome to the Burgh!

Post by Steel Legends »

You haven't faced a great team like the Steelers all year long. You have to come to Heinz Field and show that you at least belong in the NFL...

You saw what we did to Philly, New England, Cleveland, and most recently, the Bengals...

Man are you cool!

If you think we're gonna talk smack about how we're going to beat you, you're wrong. At least I won't. I just want a competitive game and make progress. Take your AFC gloating ___ somewhere where you might be wanted.

you know, not much to say here..Steel Legend can smack all he wants as far as I'm concerned because he earned the right to. We suck, his team doesn't and they're doing it with a rookie QB who's won more games in 2 months than Pram has in 2 years. and a 55 yr old Bettis getting it done. Not much we can say back to Steel Legend because come 7 days from now, I'm sure he'll still have a smile on his face and be 10-1. In my wildest dreams, I never thought the skins would be going into week 11 at Pitt with a 3-7 record...what a joke!? and our dreams came true when Gibbs came back? This is like a freeking nightmare, a freeking nightmare gone wild...embarassing...

I had a dream last night that I was poisoned by a door-to-door salesman. That was pretty wild. I think he was English.

Sunday VS the Steelers

Post by Stickman »

Hello all, I didn't come here to talk smack or gloat that my team is 9-1. I like to hear what the next opponent's fans are talkingn about. I just wanted to say, good luck Sunday, and may both teams play injury-free football (if there is such a thing these days).

Whatever

How many coacing changes have happened it Pittsburgh? I think our coaching changes happen in synch with the changing of the seasons. It Pitt, they change whenever Haley's comet happens by. Get real both of you. Yes our team sucks right now, but if we can keep the same (basically) coaching in there for at least 3 years, who knows how good we will become. I agree that Ben is a very good QB, but look at his weapons. Even Maddox, a former XFL player (or is it AFL, or both) was fairly successful there. Their O-line has remained basically the same for years, as has their receivers. How many years has Bettis been there?

I'm just trying to make the point that time together brings cohesiveness and success shortly follows.

To you, Montana Redskin, be patient. I know these are VERY trying times, but as long as Gibbs and most of tese coaches stay, good things will eventually happen.

To you, Steel Brain, you effectively called everyone else here, other than Montana, stupid. I think that is indiresctly attacking posters, and you should just leave, u Monkey nless you can be respectful like Stickman

I was about to come in and congratulate you on a winning season, that was until I read your post.

Hey guys, lets hope Benny doesn't get hurt Sunday. If he goes down, the Steelers will sink.

What, our franchise QB? You can't hurt Big Ben, the rookie of the 2004 NFL season. This guy can't be hurt and he can't be stopped. No matter what kind of obsticle he's facing this guy can come through.

Trivia for you; what rookie QB won 8 straight games to begin his NFL career?

Ben Roethlisberger.

I'll betcha yinz would of loved to have him instead of problem child, Shawn Taylor. Ben is one of those QBs that is already developing into a real find.

What on earth did yinz think that Brunnell would be your starter? More poor talent evaluations on the part of the former 1980s coach.

Why would he trade for a smallish RB for a stud CB? Bailey would look real good in your defensive backfield.

Steel Legends, a mod will most likely inform you fairly soon that pictures are not allowed in signatures. If I were you I'd remove it now and spare them the trouble--please make sure to read the rules for the board found in the "Welcome Wagon" forum.

Which would involve both of our answers, making the both of us correct.

How does that sound to you?

Sounds better than anything he's said. Despite the fact that neither of us could actually hear anything he may have said. :)

I guess you have a lot to cry about considering you have Dwibbs as your coach... :D

New to NFL mesaage boards in general, yours in particular. I have to say I like the layout.

Not here to talk smack either. We don't play each other enough to have developed a rivalry. I won't wish you luck this week, because that is simply stupid. Two great defences knocking heads, lets just hope for no bad injuries.

That said, I respect the 'Skins and empathize with their fans. Washington is on of the storied franchizes in the NFL, and I feel for you guys right now. We Stiller fans have been in your moccasins (almost). I hope for your sake that Gibbs is on his way back. I know I would hate to see Noll come back as our head coach and have such a disappointing season.

Keep your pig-chins up...better things will come. Hell, look at us

Now if we could only get you to make a point

Iron Rob and Stickman have already made points here you are just snipping and you don't even know who's a Skins Fan and who isn't. One poster pointed out a board rule and you say he's crying, He was looking out for you and trying to save the Mods some work.

It's bad enough they have to try to understand what you are posting. They have no choice but to read your BS But then again they are luck that you'll only be around a week. after that it's back to rent-a-center with your computer
