I think if I manually controlled an outside linebacker and moved him to the line of scrimmage inside the wide receiver, I could totally school Gibbs. I'd also safety blitz every down, too, since they wouldn't really need to cover anything downfield.
What about you?
Could you beat Joe Gibbs in Madden?

I would love to play defense against joe gibbs in madden 2005. For one, in 2005 wide reciever screens rarerly work, so there goes like 60 percent of his passing offense. I would have eight in the box on every play and blitz at will until he proved he could beat me deep or for that matter was willing to take the chance to beat me deep. I would probaly stay in the 4-6 bear defense for every play, and in madden he would get shut out guranteed(maybe 3-6 points). Now on the other hand I dont know how many points I could put against gibbs, because of the defense. I would use either culpepper, vick, or mcnabb to avoid the blitz. thats how I would go about doing it.

Unless he's using split backs on offense and keeps them both in all game I think I could beat him. I usually control a DT, and I've got a pretty good first move. I'd have to win on a defensive play though, I always go for it on 4th down. Almost never get it, but it doesn't stop me.
I got your number. I steal your thunder. I got your mother's maiden name tattooed on my arm.

Its not just a video game, its MADDEN
funny thing that madden teaches us with its AI, is that repetition stops working the more you do it. The defense picks up on your tendencies and reacts accordingly. See that happening in real life?
TOUCHDOWN .....WASHINGTON REDSKINS !!!!
