Season Ticket Question

Post by is95a »

I'm a newbie and had a question about season tickets. The wife and I have been lifetime skins fans, and have been on the waiting list for about 7 years. Well back in November I received a piece of mail from the Redskins indicating that they are adding new and improved general admission seat locations and they were taking reservations for these new seats. Is this how they notify waitlisters who have "come off the waiting list"? I promptly filled out the form and put a deposit down for three seats at ($50 deposit per seat). I just read the form again and it says in the fine writing that they will release the new seat locations after 5/1/04 and I have 7 days to finalize the deal. It is also possible that they will not have enough of these new seats to release in which case my deposit would be refunded. I'm scared to death that now that the King has returned, they will run out of tickets. Anyone know how they determine availability? First come first serve, random, etc...? Is there a way of improving my chances? Thanks in advance for any advice you may have...

Hail to the Redskins!

My fear is that in anticipation of many unhappy season ticket holders not renewing their tickets for the 2004 season. They started lining up folks (based on previous years numbers) to get them filled. Then the unthinkable happened and everybody now wants to renew their tickets. I know for myself. I got called 5 days before the first game last year...didn't even get to go to the pre-season games. My advice is to be proactive, you should have a number on the waiting list call and see where their at. Tell them how you already paid etc..I know I got some nice things out of them for missing the two preseason game just by asking. Good Luck

I have good news for you.

That's exactly how I was notified that I am getting season tickets next year.

I got the same letter a while back.

I called them (to make sure they weren't Club Seats, Loge Seats, or Dream Seats)...and I was told that my days on the "wait list" were over!!! These are for "general admission" seats!

I promptly sent them $100 to reserve 2 seats. (I was told that the first persons that send in their $$$ would be getting the better seats available in the 400s.)

Congrats to you!!
