All trash talk aside...from a philly fan

Post by PHILADELPHIAEAGLES »

I really see some potential on your team. Arrington, coles, portis, Ramsey...It just seems you guys are struggling to execute...maybe a coach problem???I know alot of you guys are like "No, not gibbs...he is the best"....indeed he has proved his worthiness in the past...but wth took him so long to take your "43 million dollar mistake Mark Brunell" out of the damn game??? BTW I got that quote from a skins fan...Gibbs is all good in my book...but he needs to do something to get the skins to execute...you have the 2nd over all D.... D wins games!!! I honestly think Ramsey will be the one to "show up"....I dont think you guys will beat philly...I actually think Philly will blow you out....but....you guys def. have the potential to be alot better....Im gonna keep my eyes on the skins and their new qb...anyways....

You have my wishes for a smashmouth injury free game...good luck guys!

Impossible, You must not be a true Eagles fan then. Maybe a cowboys closet fan??? Is that again you gambit?

Your clown in green is on everybody's IOU list on the NFL. Smashmouth? Yes, TO's.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

We've got issues, but they definitely are NOT the coach. We need to retain Samuels, first and foremost. We need DLine help. Our LBs are solid, and if we retain Smoot we're strong in the back 7. Offensively we need to figure out who the QB is. Then we need Jansen to return.

After that (one draft I hope) we'll be competitive. What's Philly going to do at DT? Simon's as good as gone and Thomas and Grasmanis are old and ineffectual. WR is bare beyond TO. And Runyan is creaky in his age.

I like our future, if we mitigate the cap.

Actually he said Gibbs is Ok, the quote was from a supposed Skins fan.

It's not the coaching and it's not the D. With our four starters back healthy our D will be even more impressive.

We need to tune up our O for next season. Hopefully Ramsey will be the man, our receivers will start catching some passes and we'll have Jansen back. Cooley's got potential and we have one of the best RBs in the league.

One or two players and some fine tuning. I believe we are close.

i also think we are close, but it has been frustrating not winning this year when i know we are good enough...

as far as ripping gibbs for sticking with brunell, i just don't get it??? as fans we have been BEGGING for consistency with our beloved team and gibbs is trying to give us just that. gone are the spurrier days of just constantantly rotating guys in and out of the lineup (thank god).

if i remember my recent history, andy reid was destroyed by iggle fans for sticking with mcnabb (last season especially). fans just don't know the team like the coach does and while their opinions may seem logical, they just aren't close enough to the team to make an informed decision.

it is unfortunate that brunell struggled so badly b/c he is the sole reason we'll miss the playoff. (and i like the guy) if we scored 18 points in every game, we'd be 6-3.

Welcome to the site!

There are some who agree with you and are trying to counsel patience. Gibbs is adjusting to the NFL and he will not fall prey to the "get it going now" scenario, IMO. He is about core Redskins and the future. We are getting better each week.

This game will be interesting in that PR has had a week to get his timing back with the receivers. That is not enough time but anything will help and I anticipate (hope for) an improvement each week from Patrick & Gibbs.

The iggles are a better team than we are right now, but with some improvement from the offense and if that defense continues to shine anything is possible.

My focus this week will be to see if Patrick can get some lanes to throw in. IMO he needs to getter a better position behind his protection and not be throwing over the defenders so much.
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
