I don't think we are as good a pass defense as you think we are. The only decent QB's we've faced have lit us up. It's the Kyle Bollers, and Jonathan Quinn's that make us look like a good Pass Defense team.
I'm not saying that we don't have a good pass defense, but I wouldn't say that its the strength of our defense. The strength of our defense is stopping the run.

I'd have to agree with that. Our pass defense is always open to exploitation due to our blitzing, a lot of times we leave CB's in man coverage and that can go sour quick. I dont know if we have enough CB's to run man coverage and still blitz. Also, Im worrying about our LB's too. Westbrook likes to run laterally to avoid linemen and LB's, we need some speed.
everyone, keep in mind we get 2 shots at the eagles, and the second one is likely to be better than the first.
*ramsey's first start- he'll be more acclimated by the 2nd eagles game
*too many injuries (including lavar)- we should (hopefully) be healthier for the 2nd game. if lavar is back he can take care of McSlabb
STRATEGY: DEFENSE- i actually think trying to pressure mcnabb is the worst mistake you can make. he's at his best when he's flushed out of the pocket and forced to improvise. i still don't buy the idea that he's becoming a good pocket passer. i'd make sure to keep him IN the pocket, don't let him squirt by and make a huge play.
maybe we ought to use sean taylor as a "spy" on TO. we need a big, fast guy to stay with him and nail him- and it's not like they have any other receivers to worry about.
STRATEGY: OFFENSE- we should actually be able to give the damn ball to portis, since ramsey's mere presence will force the eagles to respect the prospect of a deep passing game (they won't be able to stack so many people up to stop the run). if we can get the running game going, that should open up the deep ball for ramsey (look at what he was able to do against cincy even though they KNEW that EVERY play was going to be a long pass).
The only way to stop Philly is to wait and see how Philly stops themselves. They'll find a way to screw up, and we need to jump on them when they do.
This is the luckiest 8-1 team ever.

i agree, but you have to be disciplined about the rush. mcnugget has killed us with his legs in the past. we should at all costs avoid giving him running lanes.
