Cincinnati Bengals Coach Marvin Lewis said during his news conference yesterday that one of his players was spit on by a Redskins player. "We had a player spit on yesterday, and that's not right," Lewis said. "Hopefully, the league will do something to cut it out."
When Gibbs was informed of Lewis's allegation, he said he had been unaware of it and didn't comment further.
Bengals wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh called Redskins safety Sean Taylor a "punk" after Sunday's game without specifying the reason. The two players verbally sparred throughout the game, and had to be separated at the end of the game. Taylor declined to comment yesterday.
I love this guys passion for the game and natural skills, but if that's true... that's just imature, unsportsman like, and simply uncalled for. Oh bye the way... I hope he puts a button on TO's lips this weekend!
give me a break... with all the blood, sweat, trash talking, finger pointing, leg whipping, chop blocking, eye gouging, snot slinging that goes on in the trenches of an NFL football game... this guy runs to Marvin Lewis to whine about getting another player's saliva on his shoe... handle it on the field Houshpunk!!!
You hear stories of guys getting punched in the crotch at the bottom of piles. I think this is getting blown out of proportion. Its a dirty sport and if you can't take it get off the field.
