All - If you support baseball in DC, please follow the below links, one for DC residents, the other for non-residents. I'm not sure if you heard today but Linda Cropp, Counsel-At Large, originally supported the deal with MLB and now has created her own agenda. Today, she delayed the vote for two weeks, despite Mayor Williams having all the votes he needed for approval. If you support the return of baseball to DC, please follow the instructions below... it basically emails the DC Counsel and Mayor Williams... THANKS!!

I emailed them R74! I hope they listen. Amazing but I guessed that lady was going to be a problem from the get go. It's all about power and the struggle for it. I hope they work it out before they blow the entire deal.

Yeah, I emailed them too. They need to realize, they aren;t justplaying with the Expos future. If we blow this deal, especially by backing out of our part of the deal, we will NEVER get a baseball team.

Sounds like they postponed the vote on Anacostia, dropped the RFK proposal and may have a private donor willing to pony up 350 mil. Seems to me, I can only think of two people in the area that could pony up 350 mil for anything, Dan Snyder and Bob Johnson. I would imagine, whomever donates 350 mil gets the inside lane for the team.

I found out last night that the developer willing to throw out the $350 mil originally made the same offer to St. Louis when they were in stadium negotiations. They approved this developer and latter had to break the deal due to a shady investor involved. So, sounds like that's not going to happen. Linda Cropp knows it's not going to work and will end up voting for the mayor's original proposal (I hope that's how it goes down!)
