QB's

Post by John Manfreda »

How can anyone say Ramsey can't do better. Lets look at Ramsey's personall and coaching he had to work with last year vs Brunell this year.
Ramsey Brunell Advantage
RB- Canadate Ports Brunell
WR's LC,RG, Dmac, Thrash,LC,and RG Even
O-line Kim Shelton and Larry Cory and Bugel Brunell
TE- Flemsiter Cooley Brunell
Defense 28th ranked top 5 Brunell
Coaching- Spurrier Gibbs Brunell
numbers
Ramsey's rating 79 or something around that
Brunell's 50 or sixty something
Brunell has every advantage possible but Ramsey still put up better numbers last year. If anyone thinks Ramsey can't do a better job you are retarded. Just look at this. To even be as good as Ramsey he should put up better numbers than Rasmey last year because his personall and support is so much better. Ramsey is a better Qb and should start.

Yeah, I had to take it back to the playground after hearing "retarded"being flung around irresponsibly.

Thank God we have you policing people's PC skills. I feel much better knowing that you are here and I am sure that those "retarded" people you are talking about are so terribly offended by the above statements that they will also be emotionally scarred for life, in addition to their "handicap."

Thanks again.

But to at least try to stay on topic, I agree that Ramsey is the better QB. I will admit that Brunell WAS a very good QB, but his better years have gone and went. We need a change and I don't think Gibbs is going to make it.

How does 2-14 sound to all of you out there?

i agree champsturf... glad to see we have someone with such high "moral" standards watching over us...
the best they are looking at is 5-12 if brunell starts all 16 games.

Guess what I may be a horrible speller, but when it comes to football I am right and you are wrong. If your mad that you are wrong just say so. I thought there was no personal attacks here. I never personally attacked anyone, just a general group of people. This was a personal attack. Whats up with that, I thought no personal attacks outside the smack room on this website. I guess I was wrong on that one.

Okay, you're right. I give in. You know more about football than me. Boo hoo hoo. Woe is me.

Yeah, group attacks are okay. For that matter... Car salespeople can be such jerks, especially those who think Brunell is a better QB than Ramsey.

I see it like this.

People wanted Brunell in because he brought Veteran qualities.

No delay of games.
No wasted timeouts.
Accuracy.
Reading the defense.
Mobility.

Well, Brunell hasn't shown these qualities. He's making all of if not most of the same mistakes that our boy Patrick has made. The difference is that we dont know how Patrick will play in this new system. Patrick needs to be in there, he can't do any worse.

I don't know why, but they just don't.

I'm just curious but how many interceptions did Patrick Ramsey throw in less than one half of the game when Mark Brunell was injured against the Giants.

FunBunch, I like your username. Welcome to Hogs.net.
To answer your question (and I think you already know the answer to this), he threw three picks in that 1/2 game.

I have a question since it seems as though we're allowed...

What is our longest pass play this year BEFORE yards after the catch? If someone can give me that answer, I would also like to know who threw the pass.

Just curious...

Forget Ramsey and Brunell give me Hasselbeck back he's the best QB we have. He proved he can play with the big boys last year on a much worse team than we have now. Put him in this team with a good runningback and an NFL gameplan and we will start winning games

He threw three INTs, but he moved us instantly down field, something Brunnell had and continues to have problems with to date.

This post is confusing and not well illustratedW

Brunell vs Ramsey is a a well documented subject here on the board. We love beating this horse.

Yes Ramsey did move us down field, but what good does that do when you just throw a pick to end the drive anyway. Thats not Joe Gibbs football. We just need a decent Quarterback that will not throw picks and we don't have that right now.

Its really unfair to Ramsey to judge him by one game. If you watch Ramsey you would know that those three ints were uncharacteristic of him. He can be molded not to. With Ramsey in the game we had a potential to score either three field goals or 3 TDs take your pick.

We have a QB that dont throw picks because his arm sucks.
