final remarks on Brunell

Post by Goodfella022 »

For the past day or so I've been calling for Brunell to be benched, as many of you have. Well it looks like that won't be happening. At least for this week. Yet one problem I have is people wishing the man got injured. That is just plain horrible for people to wish on this man. He might be making bad throws and decisions and have a weak arm and all that. But that is no reason to wish any kind of harm on the man. As fans we need to support the team, we don't have to support all the players but support the team as a whole. At least watch the defense. And for someone to call for a boycott of all things redskins, and not watch the game I dont even know what to say to that. So I am calling for us to look on the bright side of things. If Ramsey does sit the whole year he can learn from Brunell's mistakes. He will know the whole offense by next season and know how to run it. Portis will keep getting touches and will get better. And the brightest thing is Gibbs will be back next season and we will not have another new coach like the past seasons. So lets not keep getting down and lets start looking on the bright side :D Cause our D is just nasty out there, Gregg Williams is a Genius and we must trust that Gibbs knows what he is doing
Sincerly,
A Fan

While I don't wait and hope for an injury, most likely one will occur. When a defense is pinning it's ears back, loading the box, and trying to hit a 140 year old smudge, that smudge will go down, and eventually will stop getting up.
I would hope that for his own sake he gets yanked. We could use his "wisdom and guidance" on the practice field and the sidelines, not in a hospital.
Don't make me-you won't like what I'm selling.....

I am not hoping he gets hurt...I simply stated that we are losing to many good players and that of all the people we would like to see benched he's not. I stated we should pay the other team to take him out as a "joke." Sorry that you did not get my humor. I would not wish anyone to get hurt in any way.

Just because someone is a great coordinator that doesn't make them a good head coach. I'll give some examples: Nurv Turner, Joe Bugal, and Greg Williams. They are all tops at their respective assistant head coach spot, but not very good at the top spot. I think williams will get another shot at beinga head coach but it won't be for at least two years, after the debacle in Buffalo!
