That's no surprise. This Redskins defense is playing awesome. If it weren't for our lousy offense and suspect special teams, this team's record would surely not be 2-4. That is why I am still optimistic about this season, especially since Gibbs figured out how to spread the offense a little to give Portis more room to run!

And I thought Jim Mora Jr. was supposed to be some kind of new "defensive mastermind."

That game somewhat reminds me of the game when we played them at RFK in the '91 season. The score is similar, but it was 56-17. It is one of my favorite games not just because of how they played, but because of how enthusiastic the Redskins fans were during the game. All I know is that it is rare to see scores like that in the NFL.
That would be the Redskins play off victory over, let's see, I think it was Detroit, and then they dismantled the Falcons and then the Bills in the Super Bowl... but the difference is that Rypien threw for (I seem to recall) 6 touchdowns, and declined to throw a 7th, which would have set a new team record for TD passes in a single game. Class act, that. Didn't want to pass Sammy Baugh in the record book.

Oh, man ! Remember that ? Glanville had MC Hammer on the sidelines, and he had the entire team come out for the coin toss !
Oh, we handed it to them, that day.

Plus, Brunell didn't give up any INT's for TD's on Sunday. He's actually given up more points than our D. If special teams had played better, we'd even be more respected. This D is awesome- no matter who's in the lineup... I'm loving it!

Yup !! Andre Collins showed some moves for a linebacker, didn't he ? I think Favre threw a second pick that day too, but both were in garbage time Billy Joe just didn't have it goin' on that day for the Falcons. We would see them again in the playoffs, but that game was all about defense (4 or 5 INTs (including one from Kurt !!) ) plus a healthy dose of Ricky and Riggs on the ground. I remember my man Art getting stuffed on an end-around. I think Clark was the money man in receiving that day. I wish I had the '92 media guide.

Actuall, that is alll I know about the game since I was still a bit young-ish back then. Anyways, who intercepted that ball? I've wanted to know for quite awhile.
