New Quarterback in a new system
I'm getting so tired of hearing this excuse for why Brunell is playing like crap. He's a verteran quarterback and should be able to adapt to new systems easier than most. That's why Gibbs brought him in in the first place.
ROTHLISBERGER IS IN A NEW SYSTEM (FOR HIM) AND YOU DON'T SEE HIM HAVING TOO MUCH TROUBLE RUNNING AN OFFENSE.
BRUNELL HAS TO GO!

Yeah, I think Brunell sucks. I don't necessarily want him to leave. Although it is difficult to attempt to blend into a new system, I did see him say on T.V. that Gibbs' system is similar to Jacksonville's. If that's the case, then I guess Brunell forgot Jax's system and is starting all over.
Brunell may be on a new team and in a new system but making STUPID decisions and terrible throws INTO the CROWD, SIDELINES, and into the freakin' TURF. He makes a lot of really DUMB decisions, which is what really gets me PO'D.

i don't think brunell is dumb... i think he is very smart. he just can't get his body to do what his mind says to do. i'll say it again.. brunell is very smart and has alot of football sense. ramsey has the arm but doesnt "see" the field. let's pray they figure out how to put ramsey's arm on brunell or the skins are screwed.

Pure and simple, Ramsey is on the incline and Brunell is on the decline.
Ramsey has a mind. He can think. He is teachable.
Brunell looks like he has to be taught the system and If we are going to do that, why aren't we going with Patrick Ramsey???!???

Don't forget that Gibbs system is almost identical to the one Brunell has been playing in for a decade!!!!!!!
It's not new....just the terminology.
He has got no arm left and the defenses are playing up tight daring us to throw deep.

Over! Nothing is over until we say its over. Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor! Hell no! -- Future Sen. Blutarski.
Rothlisberger was brought in to a system that was developed already, the core of the team has been there for more than a couple of years. In other words it's really only the QB that has to mesh, with us it's the whole Offense learning.
I'm not defending Brunell, I just think that's the reason why Rothlisberger is doing better.
Only Gibbs can teach his system, with Pittsburgh you have Bettis, Ward, Burress & alot more people that the rookie can ask for help to explain a route or whatever, Brunell can ONLY go to Gibbs for help, I think that's a huge difference!

Good point, but the word "Rookie Quaterback" wipes all of your points away. Plus Brunell shouldnt have to run to anybody for football 101. He has been around long enough to better than he is performing.

Perhaps Brunell just dont have 'it' anymore

I am willing to wait and see what he can do or wheter he can do it, cause if he gets accurate, watchout.

Like I said, I wasn't defending Brunell, but having most of the guys in the same system for that long helps him alot. I wasn't talking about a throwing the ball lessons, but if Rothlisberger doesn't know a route, he has alot of options to ask!
As far as the Giants, the core of the team has been there, they know each other well. Chemistry comes quicker when their isn't 23 new players on the team.
I think thew main problem is Brunell didn't play much last year & he lost his job to a rookie, which made him lose a ton of confidence. I still want Ramsey in, I'd much rather him adjust this year then next, whenever he finally comes in we'll have to wait for him to adjust, I'd rather that this year then next!

Stop bashing Brunell. Uh.. nvm
Brunell is a smart guy, it's just that he's way off. I wish you could take Brunells head and sew it onto Patrick Ramsey.
You have to admit though, he stepped up in the bears game. Although he was off on many of his passes, he made a key run for the first down and I think he motivated the offense. I like the way he screams: "RED 40, RED 40"; like a leader. Come on now, Patrick can't do that. Patrick has to open up more to his teamates and learn from Brunell how to be a leader. Then I think he'll be ready to go in.

Comparing Warner to Brunnel makes no sense to me. We have just re built the offense with new players. Like
ey, Kolsowski, Sellers, Ray Brown, Cory Raymer, Clinton Portis, and James Thrash. I might have forgot a player or to. Please forgive me if I have. There has been this revolving door of players and coaches of the last couple years and its hard for me to keep track sometimes.
How many players are new on the Giants offense? One? Two? Three?

System, system, system. . . . . .
Whatever.
Football is football no matter what. You are asked to make a screen throw, so you throw it. You are asked to hand it off, you do that too. I know there are trends to every system, but I think that player ability and chemistry between players are the most important things a team can have. I always hear talk about the Broncos "system." It's called "RUNNING THE BALL WITH A GOOD OFFENSIVE LINE!" Playcalling is something, but the "system's" influence on a team's abilities is WAY overrated.

Have no fear, Moss will make it happen.
