QB Verdict is in...
Brunell has to go, I mean, he's absolutely horrible??? But the problem is I don't know who I want in there because Ramsey will get things rolling and then throw pics all day long and get sacked? We have 2 choices, Brunell who can scramble and miss throw after throw or Ramsey who can't and will get sacked, but get more yards with a lot more pics sprinkled in....
That leaves.........Hasselback....he can scramble and probably throw better than Brunell. Let's give him a shot.
We're done if Brunell is in there...

Hasselback could lead this team easily as he has proved it. Ramsey is still the QB of the future you just have to give him time. Gibbs knows how to groom a QB and groom is what he will do with Ramsey. Is Brunell the short answer (let me think about that) ah..... NO!!! Hassleback is a better answer than Brunell.

Brunell at 3rd string?

I think that we absolutely have to bench Brunell, I mean 9-22 against a poor pass defense just doesnt cut it!!! With Ramsey in, I believe we will be much more of a downfield threat and that will open things up for Portis. Remember; defense wins championships, and if we can get our offense to score 20+ points a game, there is no reason that we shouldnt make the playoffs.

You bring up a good point Redskins Rule, but I believe that Brunell does not have the arm strength to go down field as well as Ramsey which is precisely what this offense needs. If they cannot stretch the field with the deep ball, then opposing defenses will continue to stack the line and limit Portis to shorter gains.

You also bring up a good point Mt Sherwood! I have to say in response that Brunnel won the starting job from Ramsey. He won it because he could read the defenses better then Ramsey. Have you ever noticed the difference in audibles? Ramsey's audibles have just sucked, but Brunnel's for the most part have been right on! Remember in the beginning of this game when he faked out Urlacher and the defense with his audible? They thought pass but it was a run.

You can't blame those on Brunell. At least I can't.
Actualy Brunell can be blamed for most of these...He's not looking off the recievers so the defense is just wayching him and they know where he's going with the ball, then it's just a meyyer of timing their jump to bat down the ball or tip tip it jn the air so it can be intercepted. The pressure is not is fault althogh he could shorten he seven step drop to seven steps instead of 10

How much time do we give him? He was signed in Febuary..

Brunell didn't lose the game to Baltimore. Our special teams did. Betts should have blocked Ed Reed. If he would have, Brunell wouldn't have fumbled because he would have already thrown the ball away before Reed could hit him. Portis's fumble in Clevland helped us with that loss, not Brunell. I believe that Brunell is our best chance to win now. Ramsey looked putrid in the pre-season and in the Giants game. There is a reason why Gibbs doesn't plan on changing QBs. I believe Brunell will improve.MtSherwood7 wrote:You could argue he lost the game for us against Baltimore, almost lost the game against Chicago, and Tampa Bay, and he failed to beat Cleveland...come on now.

Failed to beat Cleveland when Portis fumbled and that led to a touchdown. What about three bootlegs in a row that Washington gave up for a touchdown in that game.
Come on Mt Sherwood. I can't and I won't blame Brunnel for that loss. Yes, Brunnell could have played better. But, he is in a new system with a new team. I will cut him slack.

i mean, did you see his pass when Laverneous was WIDE OPEN and Brunell threw it out of bounds? (well that probably happened 10 times) Brunell is good because he can scramble and make a pretty accurate pass if it is within 15 yards. But man, he is making so much dough that we cant bench him. Marks putting us in a tough situation if he doesnt start comming to work soon ( as in two weeks against Green Bay)

We're not talking about how he costed us the Bears game, so we can be thankful for that. normaly around this time Sunday nights there's a posse forming to hunt him down
But I wouldn't be too comfortable if I were Mark the hook could be closer than he thinks
8 of 22 for 95 yards and one TD, one pick is not job security

I think running the ball each down, punting out of bounds, and letting the defense do all of the work would give us a decent chance at beating most of the teams in this league... haha jk. Our defense is awesome though, and we just need a mediocre performance from the offense to win games, that means 14-20 points and not letting the opposing defense score!!! This game against Chicago the offense basically put up 6 points, with their TD being cancelled out by the INT returned for a TD by Chicago.
