I Know What the Problem Is!

Talk about the Washington Football Team here. Do you bleed burgundy and gold?

I Know What the Problem Is!

Post by ANT7088 »

I'm the last one to be suppositious, but I think it's those darn White Jerseys! Every since we started wearing them (the Spurrier era), it been all down-hill, we haven't looked like a team at all! Wear the burgundy jersey's at home and the season turns around! The White Jersey's are a Jinx! The Pukes wear White Uniforms all the time, not the Washington Redskins! If their is a problem with the Burgundy's blending in with the wall's.......well then, PAINT the wall's!

The Redskins simply do not deserve to wear the burgundy jerseys. Maybe if they started to win jus a lil', they'll gain the honor of wearing such a great color.

I like the white Jersey

And if I remember correctly we wore the white jersey in all 3 SB victories

So in what way is this a jinx??????????????????

1st, I'm not talking about tha SB, it's week 6! 2nd, Spurrier poluted (jinxed) them! The last time we looked like a team was when Shotty was here and that when we used to wear the other jersey. I'm not saying they're totally bad, but ever since we started wearing them for home games, it's been all down-hill.

Gibbs has always preferred the white jerseys...and are you saying the Gibbs Aura of Goodness can't dispel the Spurrier Curse of Infinite Bumbling? I think you better look again at the Dungeon Master's guide!!!!

I think it's the other way around. We have to earn the right to wear the white jerseys as we did in the past. This team doesn't look like a Gibbs team and therefore they shouldn't dress like them. lol ;)

I have several rituals before games. I have recently purchased a Coles jersey on week two. . . . appearently a BIG mistake. Blame me and my efforts on the Redskins' losses, I will abstain from wearing it this week. I'm not ACTUALLY supersticious, but I take the blame from the skins to some of the stuff I do, like, hang a redskin blanket on the wall, or put two Redskin glasses on top of the television. My family listens to Sonny and Sam on AM 1430 during the games and we turn down the volume to the number 8, Brunell's number. So, I guess we are supersicious(but just fun supersticious), and I want to do anything to not jinx the skins.
Have no fear, Moss will make it happen.

As I recall, the Skins have traditionally worn the white jerseys at home, unlike most other NFL teams. Gibbs preferred it that way. Then Marty started messing with our tradition and having the team wear burgundy at home. Then Steve Superior kept messing with our tradition by having them wear white jerseys with white pants. Gibbs has restored it the way it always was when he coached before, that is:white jerseys with burgundy pants at home. If I am wrong, please set me straight, but I think that's the chronology.

An ex-girlfriend of mine has a lucky Redskins shirt that I gave her a few seasons back while we were still seeing each other. No joke, whenever I got her to wear it on game day we would win, it seemed. Obviously, it's gotten a bit harder to convince her to wear it on Sundays. . .

I think the problem is Portis is to close to the line. He needs to back up and wait for blocks to develop. I noticed that watching his last 3 games. The first game he was very close but broke 1. I think after that play Bugel had him back up too far and thats when it all started. They need to get the timing down and we will soar.

If you have it on tape, check what I am saying.

I think the Redskins are cursed ever since Wondor Boy Daniel Snyder changed the name of Jack Kent Cooke Stadium to Fed Ex Field, effectively erasing all the history, aura that was the Redskins. Snyder had to let his egocentic money grabbing ways get in the way.... and now it's a mess

we started last season out 3-1 in the all white (jersey and paints). Then after our win over NE, we went back to the traditional, burgundy and white mix. I'm all for going back to white on white until we straighten things out...

You know that if the offensive line, the running back, the receivers and the QB all get on the same page, we wouldn't care what they all wear!
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I think the problem might be even simpler.
We have no identity yet. We have to define who we are as a team. It'll be fun to watch us grow into a Gibbs team, and even more fun watching what we can do when we're all on the same page.
