Will thousands of Raven fans invade FedEx Sunday Night?

Post by Brandon777 »

I hope every Redskin fan in Virginia amd Maryland will be at FedEx Field Sunday night. We really need to win this one. We need the fan's energy and crowd noise. That's Redskin fan's energy, not the CrackBirds fan energy.
Let us all gather around and drink the Cooley-Aid of the Redskins.

I'll be representing 410 sunday night. I hope the KC game showed how to let portis run like holmes, that would be killer for the skins and my fantasy team:)

The reason Holmes ran wild on their D was cause of the push the O-line was getting... That will be a difficult task, doable, but difficult for our line.

The Raven fans will be there in droves. They smell blood and think they can come into our house, eat our food, drink our beer, ... other stuff, and walk out with a win. Pride is on the line here fellas!

They will be in in droves. Hopefully Portis heard Ray Lewis last night say he wasn't worried about Portis because he's no Priest Holmes. Sounds like fighting words to me.

Did he really say that about Portis? If so, somebody better let our O-line and Portis know so that we can shove it up Ray's A$$!!!

Put two guys on (Ray) Lewis like the Chiefs did, and we might see 80 yards rushing from (Bill) Clinton Portis.

Overall, the 'Skins seem to be running to set up the pass. They should try to go the other way and make the pass set up the run.

Yeah Sage Steel on comcast sportsnet asked him something like, After giving up all those yards to Priest Holmes this week, you face Clinton Portis in his house next week. What do you plan to do to correct this?

He said that they weren't worried, because Portis was no Priest Holmes. I'm sure he's got the quote taped to his locker.

I hope the linemen read it too. That's where it all starts, since we know that they won't respect our passing game.

actually... clinton portis is no priest holmes honestly  and the chiefs have arguabley the best o line in the nfl they just manhandled the ravens... clinton will really have to take that quote to heart and start running for his life and his pride and that o line had better block like they want to play some football cus i know the ravens wont sit on their butts and let them walk by after the way they got treated on monday night... were gonna have to really want this to even think about winning... if clinton wants to prove hes worth that contract and not just a system back then what a better way to do it than against one of the best middle linebackers of all time? oh and.. maybe the madden curse is starting to take effect...heh [-o<

Actually Ryan, I agree. I don't think Portis is quite to that level of play yet either, although he's close. I do think that it is a good reason for CP to get fired up though, and put on a show like he did the first play of the year.

I truly believe this is a statement game for the Skins. The Raven are still a very formidable D and for the Skins to beat them would give the team a huge lift. I'll go so far as to say this game will decide if we will play a meaniful game in December or not!

I'm hoping jamal's impending troubles will take him out of his game, if we shut him down, we can win this game.

On a side note, whats up with his charges:

Ravens running back Jamal Lewis will plead guilty Thursday to using a cell phone in violation of federal law

I thought it was drugs not driving through DC without his hands free...rimshot...

Ray Lewis said that about Portis because he's pissed about what Portis said about him last year. Portis said he was studying game film on Ray Lewis and stated he wasn't impressed by what he saw. Ray was all bent out of shape about it.

Well since I'm a Redskin's fan and I hate Ray Lewis I think I'll take Portis' side on this arguement. LOL

Seriously if Portis uses it as motivation and it works, I don't care why Lewis said it. ;-)

That's also the difference between a guy that's been in the league (Holmes) and Portis who is relatively new to the league. It takes time to mature. He can become that player - it's up to him. Same skills, IMO. He just has to get his mental game down and our line has to pick it up. It will be a good game but we'll be ready to play...

I'm pumped for this game by the way. Our record doesn't mean jack right now. This is about territory and it's ours. Plus, I have Monday off work so I'm going full out on Sunday.

I too live and work in Ravens Country and have Redskin season ticket. Believe me when I say Ravens fans treat this game like their super bowl. They can more pride out of trying to beat us then Pitt, Clev or Cincy. I know alot of Ravens fans that have secured tickets and if you look on line you can see how many people are trying to sell their tickets.

As for Ray Lewis' comments. I think they were said in frustration after his defense was manhandled by the KC O-Line. It is very rare that Univ of Miami alum speak negatively about fellow allums.
