they just had a piece on the skins... both ditka and irvin called the skins a bad football team... ditka said there is zone blitzing now which may be taking away from gibbs protection schemes. i gotta blam the offensive line... the don'y run block very well at all... portis isnt very big so all he needs is a small hole and he would be able to get 4 or 5 yards a clip... please joe.. put ramsey in...throw the ball down the field and get those offensive lineman to start earning those paychecks.

that was coming from a cowboy and a coach gibbs routinely beat in his own house in the playoffs... zone blitz was around when gibbs coached... he used to beat buddy ryan all of the time... espn is garbage...

just earlier they said michael vick is a good quarterback...

If Ditka noticed that( while smoking a cigar ,playing golf daily and shooting craps at night ) I'm quite sure Buges and Gibbs have figured it out. It's one thing to know what needs to be changed and another to implement it. The players are still false starting and lining up incorrectly with the simplified offense.

It will take some time to get everyone on the same page. I think Jansen's injury is really killing us in more ways than one. Nobody is stepping into that leadership role on the O-line.

they can say what they want, you can almost guess what theyll be saying in the future theres really no need to watch them its too predictable... im guessing real soon its gonna be how we overpaid for portis and brunell, and eventually how gibbs has lost it :roll:

they should just leave us be and let gibbs right things in quiet but we all know they will never do that with the skins

"there's zone blitzing now ... " Yeah Ditka, and "Water is Wet". State something that is not obvious. First of all, don't they think Gregg Williams knows a thing or two about zone blitzing. I remember when someone posted a link to a site that had a video tape authored by Gregg Williams on the zone blitz. I would think that when the team scrimmages, that Williams throws everything at Gibbs during that time, since that will be what he will see in the games. There is something also called Zone Blocking, so like others have said, Ditka and Irvin are to be given no credibility.

Until the Skins offense is less-vanilla, remember the snap count and lineup in the right place - we're half a football team. The Skins D is playing well enough for us to be 4-0 right now... there is hope.
We've gotta get it right against the Ravens - they're good. Holmes made it work, a bunch of no name WR's made it work - we have the talent, just need to put it together and play 60 minutes of football!
