Gibbs will adjust
I'm really frustrated with this loss; however, Gibbs will adjust. I've said all along it may take a season. It may be next week, three weeks from now - whatever. The bottom line is the man and his coaches work their tails off and know football. Things will start coming together and our coaches will make it happen.
Have faith and patience. This loss sucks (every loss sucks) but it is early. Gibbs is committed. We will win in the long run.

The opinion of 10,000 men is of no value if none of them know anything about the subject.

R74 I was going to start the same thread...thanks...your right.
Have patience!! I can pull out dozens of quotes where you’ll said you didn’t care if Gibbs went 0-16, that he’d would win in the end. Yes it’s frustrating, but we’re only four games into the season and Gibbs;’ return. I have to laugh at this here and now fast food society we live in now…what happened to rooting for the home team! You'll gave SS more patients than this!! Will be very interesting to see how the turnout is Sunday night??
I don’t see where blaming Brunell is the answer, he has taken care of the ball for the most part.
You’ll know how I feel/felt about giving up Champ for Portis, but I root for him every week and am not going to bash him. He does need to protect the ball, four fumble is to many for a season let alone four games.
I see a lot of the same things as I did last year on offense, our line isn’t getting it done, the good news is these things can be fixed, the great news is we have a man who will fix it!! Again have some patience, many of us here have a more realistic view of the Skins this year…we saw 9-7 or 8-8 as a successful first season for Gibbs.
So stop feeling sorry for yourselfs and let’s get ready for the Ravens…DO NOT SELL YOUR TICKETS TO A RAVENS FAN!! If you do, just turn in you season tickets, there’re plenty of fans waiting for tickets.
I can’t wait to see all you fair-weather fans jump back on the bandwagon!!

I am back
This is the first thread I want to be part of today. I respect other fellow Skins fans views. But I decided not to write -anything- other than positive thoughts. I had my own frustration flare after the loss to the G-men and I promised myself it will not happen again no matter what.
For as long as we lose the turn-over battles, it will be difficult to win. This game should not have been even close, let alone lose it! Our team is not playing to its full potential.
I pledged support to Joe and the entire team for the -entire- season. This is a team that can defeat any other with the correct execution.
I am not sure if it is of any consolation to you but for the most part this is a very even league today. Any team can beat any other team on any given day. Look at the mess Green Bay and Kansas City are in. They will be back and so will we. It is early.
Character, hard work, intelligence and good execution wins games. We are close on several of these characteristics. I admire Joe and his staff enough to go along with -ANY- personnel decision they make. Our best players need to play as such and they will.
This is no time to turn our backs against anybody. Joe will know how long he needs to make any changes. I am willing to pay the price today for a better team during the rest of the season.
GO SKINS!!! We believe!!!

Perfect post 74 and nice follow up DE. I completely agree. Some people are 'doom and gloom' way too often. Every loss sucks, but we almost look better losing this year than we did winning last year.
There are 5 new starters on offense and 7 new starters on defense. Not to mention a brand new system on both sides of the ball. Actually, if you go back another year, the only starters left from 2002 on offense is Samuels and Gardner. On defense, the only starters left from 2002 are Wynn, Arrington and Smoot. That's 5 out of 22 starters that have played more than one season together. It will take time for everything to come together.
Atleast the Giants have basically the same team they have had for several seasons. When Parcells took over the cowboys, they had the same DC and most of the same players from the previous year, and their defense carried them.
We are basically starting from scratch. Yet, we have been in every game right down to the end. I don't have all the stats, but I would say we have won most of the statistical battles in every game...TOP, first downs, yardage etc. Obviously, we haven't won the turnover battle.
My point is the same as others...BE PATIENT. Turnovers can be reduced, but you can't prevent the other team from stripping the ball or making a great play. Our defense will get their share of turnovers. We can't control the bad calls either. There have been bad calls for alot of teams.
We need to worry about the things we can control. Stupid penalties, dropped passes, clock management, use of timeouts, blocking assignments ..etc. All of these things will be corrected and if the current players can't cut it they won't be here next year. Our offense will evolve as the season progresses. We will be scoring some points in the second half of the season and that's when we play 4 of our 6 divisional games.
Have patience and stay positive.
