OK I was wrong.
game's over we lost,looked better this week though
Time to get ready for clevland
1-2 going into week 4 should come out @ .500
it's just the score that pissed me off

that's cool weezil, you guys won, and it doesn't matter in the end how. Just like we gave you so many games in the last 14 games, this one was also given to you. A couple years from now, most won't remember that, they will just see that you won. The difference is, OUR team is on the way up, and will soon be Winning the show again, and the pukes are going nowwhere. I wouldn't be surprised if the skins had the better record this year either. Gloat now, cause your days of gloating are definitely numbered. Even being a pukes fan and having rose colored glasses, deep down, you know I speak truth my hated friend ;-)

Hah hah. That one makes me laugh, my friend. Drew looks like he's the real deal. He showed a lot of promise in TC. Also, you guys got a good look at AB. Plus, JuJo will bounce back.

We have two first rounders next season. To me, our future hasn't looked brighter in a long, long time.

Uh ... you guys do have a good running back. though.

Too bad the refs fudged this one...would have been nice 2-1...even though it should be 3-0, but our O was sleeping last week against another crappy team....hope they don't do that in Cleveland while I'm in the stands.

yeah, I expect it will take Gibbs a few more games to realize the truth of Ramsey, but he'll get there. I think he's very close to Brunell, both because he's a vet and because of his strong faith. But, the fan chanting for Ramsey will become stronger and stronger, and that will help Gibbs see the Truth, and at the same time help Ramsey regain his confidence.

I know this is a bit extravagant, but I really see it going down this way in a somewhat modified way. If we had even mediocre play from QB, we would be undefeated right now, and above average play from QB would put us in top 5 teams in the league. Ramsey can and will be that guy by next year at least. Gregg Williams is Defensive coach of the year. He's got these guys playing like they should and they aren't even all there =)

Drew hasn't played a snap. My ears told me he looked like he hasn't played football in 4 years. Let's see the guy play in a game before we annoint him ok? AB is a good WR, but he's no Moss/Harrison kinda guy. He's a great 2nd WR IMO. Well, he will be anyway, if he ever gets his head on straight. As far as Jones goes, I still think the boys picked the 3rd best RB in a weak RB class. Have you seen Stephen Jackson play yet? He's the one and only real deal of this draft.

The only thing I see that the boys have in way of a future is Tuna. Problem is, Tuna isn't a notoriously good drafter, and he doesn't stick around long. I know I'm biased, but I don't see much talent on the boys. Don't get me wrong, they aint the Giants, but I don't see them finishing above 3rd in this division for years. With this season being the possible although unlikely exception...

Here are my thoughts for this game and the year so far.

Redskins offense has stunk all year. But this game I saw improvement, I did not think I would see Brunnel get a 300 yard game but good for him. Defense is still good even though they gave up every point to Dallas we cant really blame any of the points on an offensive turnover, however since our offense stinks we tend to give the other team good field postion which is asking a lot of the defense. The thing I hate most is that we seem to still give games in the end.

No matter how you look at it...falling for trick plays and untimely penalities is a sign of a bad team. We are organizational better than last year but far from a legitimate team. We lost to Giants who got blown out by Eagles, and lost to Dallas who got blown out by Vikes. The tough part of our season still has yet to come.

Im a bit upset right now so don't get mad at me for saying this I just needed to get it out since I was watching the game alone and no one else to complain too. Refs see everything for the other team but not the skins. Gardner had an awesome game but Im not getting excited cause he has to put a string of good games.

Bottom line 1-2 and last in NFC East with 2 division loses and the hard part of the schedule before us. Better luck next week.

I dont have much to say...

All I can say is that I am extremely pissed off and Im just very worn out. You guys are all older than me and have lived through the GLORY years. You have something to hold on. I've been a fan for the past 14 years only and have nothing to hold on to. Nothing but dissapointment and losses. Im so tired of losing I dont know want to do.

I have sooooo much anger in me right now I dont know what to do. :evil:

Im just fed up man. I've never seen my team do good and I love this sport so much that it just gets to me!

edit: 2 divisional losses, one to a supposed "weaker" team. A team in turmoil with a coach they hate and a system they despise. No I know why weren't going all the way but I stilll like to see them do good.

Your team NEVER gave up, they played the whole 60 mins.
How many times have you been able to say that in the last 14 years
They kept their heads up and never acted like the refs had taken away the chance to pull it out.
The O looked better than it did last week (I know youv'e heard how complicated Joe's system is and it's the last to come around)

Thanks for the words of encouragement GF, it really shows your a true football fan. Chris, the key here is not having unrealistic expectations. Gibbs is great, but it just takes time. No way around it. He has to teach these guys how to play football right. They have been playing wrong so long, that it's part of their makeup. It will take awhile.

If there is anything to truly be happy about so far, it is that the Offense is looking better, the defense has excelled much quicker than normal and the team as a whole is playing more disciplined and the biggie, not giving up in games.

Once this team is putting up 30 points a game and only giving up 10, even against some better teams, you'll have your chance to smile. It WILL happen. It will start to happen this season, but this isn't the season it will all come together. Gibbs still has some weeding out to do. This isn't totally a Gibbs team yet. It will be brother, just have faith in the overall picture and don't let your immediate expectations get too high.

It's coming. I can see it on the horizon.

P.S. as far away as we are from being that team, with better play from the QB, we would be 3-0 right now. So yes, the future is very bright.

OMG, I missed the first quarter and just watched it. First we don't get the obvious fumble AND THEN they got the bogus PI for the TD. This was such a bad game of Zebras against us, It's just sad really. I'm pretty sure the league will address it, but even with all that, I'm still lingering on the bright side considering how many good things there were ;-)

Yeah, last night was a very frustrating game. ;furious;

The biggest thing I see is the offense doesn't look "polished", they aren't playing like a Joe Gibbs offense. They did finally get it going but dropped passes and 5 sacks are unacceptable and no team is going to win with that.

The defense played excellent as usual, but I think they still need to blitz on every passing play, when they do the results show it.

As said above, 1-2 isn't the end of the world, but it just sucks losing to Dallas.

This makes me wonder, can Joe Gibbs' offense succeed in today's NFL? I understand we've only begun to see his "Version 2004" offense, but, in the first three games, it seems like we've sputtered when it matters most, particularly on the goal line.

I know Joe will tinker with his system, but can we expect to continuously run the same formations all the time and succeed?

Those of you who witnessed the glory years first hand, did we ever employ any 3-4 WR sets? That might open things up for the run a bit so Portis can do his thing.

- Yes, the offense can and will succeed in "today's" NFL. There have been not big changes in the last 12 years.

- Goal line (a): in '91, Gibbs used Gerald Riggs as a DGLS, or "designated goal-line scorer". Riggs had lost his regular job to Byner in '90, but Riggs was huge -- good at 1st and goal.

- Goal line (b): some of it is blocking. The Dirt Bags will get better.

- 3 wides? Ah, they were called "The Posse": Monk, Sanders, and Clark. It was, and still is, one of the standard packages. In it, Monk would switch over to H-back, since he was a big guy and a decent blocker. I wasn't counting the receivers, but I think Gibbs went to Posse several times.

Overall, I hated to see them lose, but

- the team played a lot better. Fewer mistakes, closer to what Gibbs wants.

- Portis is an interesting runner. The Redskins have not had a runner with shifty moves since Kelvin bryant, almost 20 years ago, and Bryant was more of the change-up back.

- Brunnell made plays that Ramsey cannot. Think of Brunnell making the Giants rusher miss on that TD pass. No interceptions.

- The defense is well-coached, but coaching can't entirely overcome weakness at front four, and lack of Arrington. Williams had to gamble on blitzing, and that won't work all the time.

- OL: gave up sacks, but no muffed snaps. Improving.

- WR's: I didn't know that Gardner could catch like that. Strange case.

Is this team ready to beat the Eagles? Probably not. But they look better and better. Yes, the '81 team lost their first five games, and then they began to get stronger.

I can't wait for the next game.

Ervins was shifty.
Timmy Smith was shifty, for one game.
Terry Allen was shifty as hell.
Portis is in a class of his own, though.
I watched him juke while running straight ahead. I can't remember the last time I saw that on any team. He was just slick.
Eddie George was lookin' pretty old, though.
I'm reading now that Campbell and Hunter are both IR entries.
That's sad. Campbell is a nice, Shockey-type TE and a nice guy. Hunter ? I never knew he was there.
Oh, well. We have a few IR's of our own.
That's life in the league.
